TV tuner cards?

I finally got the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD card. It's works very good. Now I need to get a better antenna.

How is the video quality of the WinTV-QuadHD? I have the Hauppauge 950 (usb) and the 1850 pci-e; the 950 has artifacts during motion and sometime stutters white the 1850 is far superior.

How much heat does it dissipate? I have the Lian-li PC-Q07 mini-itx case I want to put the quad turner into.

Also, it seems to out of stock quite a few places. Where did you get it?

I got the hauppage live usb up today and the software works flawlessly on win10. Im interested in these as well or just buying more usb controllers.

I haven't used a tuner card in years, but have had very good luck with the HomeRun stuff.

I've been using HD Homerun tuners for years now, both cablecard and ATSC, and I wont use anything else now. I previously used the Hauppage dual ATSC/QAM tuner, and while it works just fine, the flexibility of a network attached tuner trumps it. I don't even have to have a computer on to watch live TV due to the apps Silicondust has. One of these days I'll get around to posting my mini TV server whole home DVR solution.

Another vote for SiliconDust Network Tuners. Having a TV Tuner fixed in a single rig days are over. I wouldn't go any other route. Add as many turners as you wish to your network.

+1 for SiliconDust based tuners. Allows you to upgrade your computer without having to worry about tuner compatibility and allows other devices to watch TV streaming on the network. Bonus DVR compatibility if you have a Plex Media Server.

Does Plex support live TV yet, or are they still just supporting DVR recordings?
