1080ti Pre-order, Retail, and AIB availability watch

Ordered on Saturday (non-business day). Shipped Monday. Arrived Tuesday. With the next day shipping/afternoon option.

Not any different then the people who need to convince everyone they're quiet and anyone waiting for AIB cards is making a huge mistake.

Except I don't think I've seen anyone say the AIB ppl are making a "huge mistake". That sounds like yet another exaggeration.

In this very thread we have people that don't own one, and have never heard one adding their opinions.

It's called hyperbole, you get the gist of what I'm saying since you appeared to have recognized yourself in my post.

Know what else we have? People that do, confirming it's not a quiet card. Especially if you set a fan curve aggressive enough for it not to throttle.

What exactly are you suggesting to those who want a 1080ti and haven't heard an FE? Such is the case with me. I have however heard just about every other cards reference cooling solution and they aren't cool nor quiet, are you suggesting that this nearly identical cooler is so much different to simply take that $700 chance?

Just received notification my order from this morning shipped. Fast turnaround by Nvidia.

If you goto PNY.com, they also have 1080ti's available to order as well.. incase anyone is still hunting for one..

Damn I should of loaded up my card for Tax maybe I can score one on New Egg or something.
Standard shipping is Free on Nvidia's site.....
Still kinda lingering for a EVGA ICX card

If noise is a concern and especially if you plan to overclock an FE may not be the best choice for you.

Yeah I'm hoping for the Aftermarket coolers to be slightly cheaper than the founders edition but I wonder if they will be sold out for 2-3 months before I can snag one. The regular 1080 was slightly cheaper than the founders edition unless it was the EVGA clasified or something else.

... I'm wondering how long it'll be before I can get an AIB aftermarket cooler Ti at Microcenter. I hope to god not too far past mid-late April. Have no video card right now and that Andromeda icon is just looking me in the face screaming "play me, play me!", and my integrated i7-7700k graphics are saying "Not so fast, my friend."

Shouldn't be too much longer according to the folks at microcenter that i spoke with but then again who knows.

I've never been so excited to see an OOS product... Some light at the end of this seemingly very long AIB tunnel!

Well the 1080 Ti just launched two weeks ago, so if this and other AIB parts start showing up for sale in the next week or two I'd say that was a pretty short tunnel considering who well the 1080 Ti appears to be doing.

Perhaps, but when you're the one waiting, it feels like forever!

That said, the wait continues. I have my eyes on a FTW3 with the ICX cooler or the ROG Strix

I would have got that but it is too long for my case.
EVGA cards are 10.5 inches so I will have to get one of them. Probably the FTW3 11G-P4-6696. I wish it didn't come with the RGB bs.

You should be able to turn the RGB lights off via software in the OS. On startup it will look like a gay pride parade and there's probably nothing you can do about it.

So does anyone know when those Asus Strix cards are coming out? I really like Asus' products. I've got a great mobo, and monitor from them but never had a vid card. I think I can be patient enough to wait for it.

I picked up a Founders Edition MSI yesterday should be here Wednesday so I can try it on my day off. Can't wait to try the Witcher 3 with the card at 1440P on Ultra...

I'm waiting for the strix as well though if past experience is any indication I'll miss out on the first few rounds of availability.

Got the Ti a few days ago. Like some others have said, it does get loud past a certain fan speed. I came from a gtx 1080 ftw ACX 3.0 and the difference is noticeable.

I use both speakers/headphones so whenever it gets to about 55-60% the fan is audible. Once it hits 70-80% you can hear it quite a bit. That said, it's probably because I now forget just how loud my SLI OG Titans were lol.. I'll be getting a hybrid kit to cut down on the sound.. and get better cooling to boot. Right now I set my power limit to max and get an OC of 125/550

Is there much difference in noise/temps between a AIB(FTW3 or Strix) and hybrid?
