1080ti Pre-order, Retail, and AIB availability watch

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I got 2 EVGA Founders Editions from bestbuy thanks to you! Fucking Nvidia pissed me off had 2 in my cart at 1pm exactly and hit the sumbit button at exactly 1:02 and it said out of stock???! What the flying fuck is that bullshit about?? God that pissed me off but just as well since I really wanted EVGA anyway and theior site was moving at a crawl. Had to pay 17 bucks for 2 day shipping whioch says I should get it byu March 17th? I hope thats wrong since thats hardly 2 days.

Damn I thought the custom cooler versions were on sale today too :\
Its all FE

Might be a good thing to hold off for a bit and see what they will offer as far as custom versions. I think I will wait until May and see if something like a MSI Lightning comes out.

I am concerned about temps sound and boost speed with the founders card, i am also impatient. While doing my morning search for ti's i saw this

has anyone here added an aftermarket cooler to a reference card before? This dosent look to have the drawbacks of a liquid cooled setup (vram cooling, pumps, costs, water!). this one is for a 1080 or titan xp so it should work.

I've used the Arctic coolers on several cards. The best scenario was when I replaced the very loud stock coolers on a pair of GTX 480s - made them inaudible.

The worst was when I put one on an HD4990 and the card died a few weeks later (can't prove it was the cause but I wasn't the only one) Sucks because it was a great card for Bad Company 2....

My concern would be that if you buy $700 or even $1400 worth of cards and add on another $100 worth of coolers, what happens if there is a flaw and it kills your Ti?

Just wait and buy 3rd party card with the type of cooler you want.

BTW - I'm very careful, but I still managed to break a cap off one of my 480s - I managed to order a new cap and solder it on and the card always ran perfect, but these coolers are huge and it's a delicate process.

This is total BS. OOS and they just went on sale after waiting this long?
Best Buy OOS now also.

Got one!

Yo....It kicked me back to the product page like twice during the "approve order" portion. I checked my bank tho and had the $1 pending....that mean its gonna process?

I had to hit "confirm" on the page after that one and it tooke 5 minutes before i got the email confirmation.

Jeez, I had to verify my transaction with my banks fraud department before it could be put through.
Took 10 mins but the order was placed.
Dont know if I'm on a backlog or whether they had stock, but hey, at least its placed :)

I'll stick the next gen Arctic Cooling Extreme heatsink on it when I need more performance.
I end up doing this on every card anyway so though sod it, I'll get an FE.

I ordered a HB sli bridge 4 slot from Nvidia just now. On a side note when I had the 1080's in my cart at nvidia it had the 2 free game promos in there too. I hope since I ordered EVGA versions from bestbuy I can still get the 2 game codes from nvidia when I get the cards??

Can't believe Amazon and Newegg haven't posted tnem for sale yet, they're the two biggest retailers, how do you not have them ready to go??

Holy fuck, Newegg went oos in like two seconds.

Newegg is out of stock now. Haven't seen anything show up yet. I decided to wait until the MSI Twin Frozr version is out. I suppose I can live with my 980ti until then :p

In the UK when I tried to order a GTX980ti, I had to shop elswhere.
Amazon didnt get them until at least a week later.
They pretended to have stock but it was all back ordered.

This is some shit show ehh? The way these retailers launch something in this much demand. Still in my opinion nothing feels worse than when I had both cards in my cart at nvidia's store at 1pm and at 1:02 I had all my info loaded hit the final submit button only to have it tell me sorry out of stock. I almost punched my screen. How can their stock allocation system not hold those 2 cards for a number of minutes out of inventory so as to give you a chance to actually place the order correctly???? I don't get that. How dumb are they??
