...and the NDA lifts when?

What kind of shit marketing is that. Do you know how many people are waiting to purchase just based on reviews alone.

Get up early then. That is what I'm gonna do. Read a couple reviews. If I get bad news then I will cancel before it ships.

Like I said a week or two ago, seems pretty stupid (IMHO) to not have reviews up a good day or two before the official launch. I got hammered on saying it was actually smart to do that. Er, sure... I have yet to hit the buy button until the reviews and it's getting harder and harder (that's what she said :p ) to hold off not just nabbing Intel. Guess I just have to shake a little longer. :meh:

Something tells me you won't need to cancel. I could be wrong...
Proof is in the pudding. I kind of doubt I'll cancel too. I just want 6850K performance stock vs. stock out of an 1800X. If I get let down significantly then I'll have to reconsider.

Will be coming into the office half hour early so I can sit there off the clock and read a couple reviews.

There is nothing wrong with buying it later rather then on launch as long as you decided that you will be happy with your purchase, nothing in your life will be different anyway?

I'd be tempted to cancel the preorder if I didn't already have more $ tied up in other components already on the way. Total build cost is $1533 for me. Of that only $654 was CPU and MB. If it turns out the torrent of leaks were all bogus, highly unlikely, I'll just return the CPU/MB/SSD unopened. Wait until August and stick a Skylake-X in there. I'm building a new machine come hell or high water.

Does anyone else find it suspicious that the NDA lifts on the day of the launch? How does that make sense if the real world benchmarks were as good as the hype? Either the benchmarks live up to the hype and they fumbled by not lifting the NDA earlier or they aren't as good and AMD is trying to hide it.

Stream was good.. Aparrently Kyle has some leeway to speak on the Ryzen performance. Though it was clear he was still restrained somewhat. Maybe we will see a review posted first on Hardocp. That would be a huge win.

And I alllmost thoguht they were giving the attendees review samples of the Vega video cards. But no. lol.

Why did they name their video card over a street fighter II badguy I don't know. ;)

They should've at least let reviewers post and Overclock Results preview, just no benchmarks. Something official to tide us over and keep our blood pressure from Ryzen from all the anticipation-induced stress! lol Though, I'm not stressed at all, it's pure excitement! There will be NO cancellations from me! I have far too old of a computer, and it's long long overdue for an upgrade. It'll beat Bulldozer arch, and that's all that matters to me to keep my order.

However, I won't deny that for AMD to get out of this slump, it needs to be competitive with Intel and not their own past products. So with that said I am still hoping that happens, but I have faith that they will do us all proud this time... finally.

Glad the motherboard selection kept me from preordering, I'd be returning memory and cancelling the preorders pretty quickly. I might have given it until tomorrow, but I don't trust AMD enough to preorder without some reliable data like a review from [H]. And before the cries of "fanboy" start, without new information all we can go on is historical data... Considering the track record of AMD's marketing department I'll go back to assuming this is another bulldozer or fury while hoping I'm wrong.

They have a saying in Tennessee (or is it Texas?) "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me... Can't get fooled again."

Whywould you be returning memory. Only if you bought 4 modules. It is always better to use only 2 modules , as 4 will always put more stress on the IMC. I have 2 16GB DDR3200 . I can use that on any motherboard for Ryzen even if DDR3400 you could still use it on most boards for Ryzen.

Because if the motherboard features had been enough to tempt me from my R4e & 3960x I wouldn't need ddr4 (thanks to prime it would have arrived today) when I cancelled the preorder... If ryzen is as good as advertised and a chipset on par with x99 (with the perks of z270) appears I'll gladly hop on the bandwagon. For now I'll keep waiting and hoping. I want to upgrade, it'll either be Zen or the successor to x99.

I understand. But in the real world there are very few applications where quad channel memory makes substantial performance advantage. If you are using some of those apps then you are making a good decision. If not then you are blowing money into a piss hole.

Wasn't it meant to be the 28th and now its pushed to 2nd? Meh/... at least it's not a week or something like that. But still excited to read reviews though.

It's not thrusday yet? No interesting leaks the last half day either ; ;

I wanna know if in Australia, that NDA lifts at midnight and they start shipping 9AM Thursday so I get it on Friday. It's 10.30PM March 1 here now, if they don't ship until PT then most shops would be closing here. And I'll be waiting until Monday DX

Well this morning March first newegg started packing and will be sending my chip out. Too bad my board will take another week and my memory has been backordered

huh? No idea what you're talking about. I actually had 16gb (2x8) picked out for a ryzen build.

that's strange my memory shipped yesterday. 2*16gb corsair sticks.

Yeah i ordered the low timing 3200 gskill RGB sticks and they said backordered 5-7 days. Hopefully they ship soon. But the motherboard i got will be the last part i get :( 3/9 for the MSI gaming carbon

Me too! exact same part. ;)

That's, that's, that's like SIXTEEN more hours!!! Grrrrr.

I'm assuming this site waits until 1200AM CDT for their reviews? (Since Texas).

Have a feeling it's gonna be a late night for Seymour.

It depends on the AMD stocks that you have. Wall Street opens at 09:30h. It will be interesting to look the AMD stocks behavior tomorrow and friday.
