Nvidia announces GeForce GTX Gaming Celebration event, Feb 28th

pricing seems weird- Titan X at $1500 with 1GB more VRAM while 1080ti is $700 and faster?

For reasons that are too complicated to get into I have a brand new Titan XP sitting in a sealed box in my closet. I wonder if I should keep it or sell it and get the 1080 TI

Just keep in mind the max most Pascal chips reach is around 2100 under water so I'd imagine the 1080 Ti will top out around there as well. My Titan X can hit anywhere from 1900+ to 2050ish in most games so I'm guessing the 1080 Ti will top out around the same. I'd save your money this time and not go for custom cards w/extra phases etc as that has shown to make no difference.

I wonder what the resale value will be now...

You can probably still sell it on eBay for at least 900+ before everyone realizes the 1080 Ti is coming.

I didn't watch the stream. Are they doing their Founders Edition bullshit this time around?

I saw no mention of it ... then again I had to hop between twitch, youtube, ustream, and facebook live to watch it.... So I missed quite a bit.

Lolwut? Don't buy a flagship card if you are gonna have problems with them releasing a new one a few months later.

Well it took them longer than a few, but still I have even stronger buyer's remorse now. Will definitely stick to x70 from now on.

Any add-in board partners for this ? The stream was cutting out like crazy so not sure if I missed it or not. Really want some 3rd party cooling but its looking like stock nvidia cooling only ?

If so thats such a dissapointment, one of the main reasons I held off form getting the Titan XP is because I want better cooling...

I'm excited to see what the AIBs have for hybrid or high end air cooling on the 1080ti

Poor Vega just got curb stomped and it's still several months out.

But but..capsaicin & cream!

Dude Nvidia has done this same release schedule for like 3 years now.... you have nobody to blame but yourself if you expected anything different.

I guess the question is whose 1080ti am I gonna buy it from? I don't know if I should stick to EVGA or go with someone else. I will also want to water cool the card, but I don't want to create an entirely new loop for it, although I do have a triple radiator and pump laying around...

Well given this 1080 lasted me about 8 months, I am not too mad about this whole thing. Should have priced it 549 not 499 though.

Nvidia's aggressive pricing on the 1080ti shows me that they know Vega is the real deal and are a bit scared

Yeah right, people said the same thing about Fury X when 980 Ti was announced/released. I think AMD will need some of that Capsaicin cream for their sore buttocks after this announcement.

This all means though that volta is definitely not coming anywhere this year.

Dude it's barely March, the year is young. Volta may still make an appearance in some form by the end of 2017.

Same what people said about Fury X and 980TI prices which I have to remember was 649$. how its the 1080TI at 699$ Aggressive?.

In some form yes, but not like an x70/x80 class gpu for consumers.

I disagree. They have no idea, but the price drop works either way for them. Either Vega is the 'real deal' as you say, and their price is already dropped by $100 - Or Vega isn't and they steal more market share anyways due to the value the 1080 is offering at the new price.
