Nvidia GeForce Live Event

So am I right in reading that this has the exact same number of CUDA cores as the Titan X Pascal?

So we went to moon in 1969 and they cant even figure out in 2017 how the fuck to get a video reliably streamed.

They are probably having network trouble. Too many people at the venue watching pr0n. :p

I'm glad they are a GPU vendor and and not networking experts :p

they didn't want another GTX 970 3.5GB controversy...so instead of announcing 12GB they went with the real amount of usable high speed VRAM- 11GB :D

I saw the 352 bit and WTF? Divide by 64 = 5.5, so divide by 32 = 11. So it seemed it had to be 11 GB.

WOAH! Did not see that coming. Did they announce only Founders cards or are all partners out soon? EVGA Hybrid is what I need or something with a pre-made closed loop.

Faster than Titan X for $699.

Well, that is not what I expected. They must be scared of Vega.

I thought the same, then he said available next week and it sounds like they are quite scared of vega.

Anyone know if the AMD afterparty is getting streamed? :p

I am going to wait for reviews. Faster than the Titan X (again, overclocked with stock cooler? or stock clocks too?) seems too good to be true.

Even after reviews, I still might wait for Vega. If Vega can't keep up, then at least the 1080 Ti waterblocks should be out by then. If Vega beats it, then I only have a little longer to wait.

They showed it running with a stock boost on stock cooler of 2032Mhz. (could have been faked, but I'm guessing it's not) My TitanX hits 2063 Max overclock.

Furthermore they claimed it had plenty of overclocking headroom over that.

The claim was faster than TitanX at stock clocks, with much more overclocking headroom.

Agreed, especially if AMD did a Ryzen+Vega brack Friday bunduru type thing!

I'm also interested in seeing what Vega actually brings to the table...with Nvidia being so aggressive with theit 1080ti pricing it shows me that they know that Vega is the real deal...with Vulkan getting even more support, better DX12 performance etc I'm thinking about switching back to team Red

If Vega is amazing then I think we might have a price war.

Nvidia is doing exactly with this launch that they did with the 980 TI, launching ahead of AMD's best upcoming product with (somewhat) aggressive pricing and spec'd out to stay ahead by a small margin.

You mean like the same price war Fury X had with 980 TI? Haha. If big Vega is competing with GP102 and is using HBM2, AMD won't be able to afford a price war.

After AMD saying nothing today about VEGA, I'm pretty sure they don't have much. All they've showed is 1080 level performance on a much larger chip. Writing is in the sand, Ryzen is probably a hit, and RTG will continue to struggle fighting Nvidia. My guess is the gap will only get worse.
