AMD’s Vega & Ryzen “Capsaicin & Cream” Live Event - Starts in 10 minutes

Nvidia and AMD both announcing new GPU hardware tonight! Would be epic if both companies agreed to allow two identically configured PC's to be placed on stage with their new GPU by an independent party like [H]ard|OCP and then run continuously through a series of automated graphics benchmarks running in a loop and displaying the results in real time to the stage screen as well as to a live web page.

That would be automatically a disaster for one of the companies, so of course that will not happen.

True... but it would be gutsy and bold if both parties agreed to do so beforehand... Hell it happens anyway after the fact when all the independent reviews hit.

Okay. I guess Kyle and AMD have been trying to repair that broken relationship. Good for them. Sneaky bastards!

Jen and Lisa both on stage pitting their fastest systems against each other in a series of shooters, playing themselves. Whoever loses will blame it on lag.

Well, the fact that Kyle agreed to participate hopefully means that their "Premium VR" label might actually mean something with Vega... He's been quite open/frank as to how much they really suck when it comes to VR compared to Nvidia's offerings thus far...

You mean Roy and Kyle lol, The whole thing started with Roy mouthing off ;)

LOL, Roy and Kyle kept it cordial! I definitely wasn't expecting to see Kyle show up.

c'mon ati, give me a reason to not get a 1080ti................................so far this presentation is what i'd use to help me get some sleep.

this is even worse than listening to my 71 year old engineering professor try to teach c++ programming.

Look, all I want to know is will there be an ITX-sized Vega GPU, and wilt be at LEAST as powerful as a GTX 1070…?!?

this looks like its going to be the same type of presentation that Nvidia had back in January at CES where they said a lot of things and didn't really say anything.

Wow....Did not expect Kyle and Roy on the same stage...let alone Kyle even going to this event. Really makes me wonder if he got to see Vega up close.

Either way TBH i was kind of let down on this one (other than Kyle). Maybe AMD will give Kyle an exclusive first review of Vega, wouldn't that be something?

So AMD can bring their own GPU and their own CPU for less R&D budget than Nvidia.

Nvidia can show up with the own GPU and their own.... CPU? I guess they can run some kind of ARM variant....?

Sounds fair to me :)

They could use whatever CPU they wanted.

Kyle was the only point of interest about that livestream. What was the fucking point? Absolutely no info about vega other than they are going to call it vega... Meanwhile NVidia mic drops AGAIN.

I really wanted to punch Raja in the face. I was so pissed when he said we have something special for live viewers and he is going to make it worth our while, and then announces a fuckin name and a damn shirt. That felt like an insult to injury. What an idiot..

Some one should have asked him if the drivers were ready lol. Seriously though, AMD, specifically the RTG, they are going to have a tough time to match up with nV, and if Vega doesn't show promise, well, Navi is their last best to keep it close to nV. Too many generations have gone by to keep hoping for competitive products against AMD. Unless nV screws up like with Fermi or worse yet like FX, will be the only way.

Nothing gets the excitement juices flowing more than rebrandings!

Well interesting enough, lets look past that lol, Vega is replacing all boards above mainstream. So Expect Vega 11 to have ~ 1070 and above performance, cause there is no space for it lower, and Vega 10 above that.

Hopefully Vega 10 will be out by the time Nvidia releases their 1100 series. I mean, we can't have AMD straying from tradition of being a day late and a dollar short.

A day late, how about a year late, this has been the latest they have been in all of ATi and AMD history if I'm not mistaken.
