(Refurb) Flaming Hot? HP Omen 32in. 1440p 75hz FreeSync for $250 Shipped on eBay

I wouldn't say flaming hot, its a decent deal, but they go on sale every so often new for $300.

Looks like repaired units or units from B stock or store demos that were never sold with high mileage. Description even says it is refurbished and some may have minor scratches. Decent monitors but as munkle pointed out, can be had for around $300-330 new when on sale.

Don't shoot me for asking: do you have to use a specific input for the Freesync to work? I have not used a monitor with Freesync/G-sync before.

You need display port for 75hz 2560x1440 I think.
Then use Gaming mode or custom - those two video modes, but no others. (Text, photo, etc)

I have three of these display in eyefinity. I really recommend one (or three).

I liked this better than my Dell 3014.

Im using a 2560x1080 75hz freesync monitor and Its noticeable and awesome. Just throwing it out there. I hear nothing but amazing things about this panel in particular. If i had the money i would eyefinity them lol

I know it says 75hz, but can you run it at 72hz native for 24p content?

Picked up that 34" WQHD (21:9) Envy 34C for $389 - it might be 60Hz, but that screen looks damn good to me to replace an old 27" 1080P monitor on my backup rig!

Thanks for the link Archaea! For those that want to see the Envy 34C or the 32" Spectre 4K screen - https://slickdeals.net/f/9991992-hp...de-389-99-free-shipping-ac?v=1&src=SiteSearch That $50 off coupon is only good til 3AM EST! (and requires PayPal checkout)

I missed out. It was in my cart for the Omen 32 earlier today. I already have one and i love it. I was going to get a second matching one for dual monitor setup, damn I don't normally regret things but for less than 300 that monitor is a steal.

Me debating and second guessing my self hurt me, lol. I went back to my cart 5 minutes later and it was no longer available.

I got this from the exact seller a week ago. (For $280) Came and looks new besides not having the VESA mount adapter. If anyone has one they want to part with PM me. So far though I did notice the screen tearing other's have had with Nvidia cards at 75hz. But since my eyes aren't the greatest I don't notice it unless I'm looking for it. My only other gripe is the stand that comes with it I think is making the monitor lean forward a little but it has no adjustment to it. So I'm gonna take it off and put it in my vice and bend it back some see if that helps.

I want one! I'm ready to pull the trigger

Back in stock for $309.99.

The 34C that I ordered for $389 jumped up to $509!

Not quite as good of a deal as last time, but still a great monitor at a great price.

See post above. Ebay has a 20% off coupon today. Both the HP 34C and the HP Omen 32 are included in the monitor options available. Coupon should show up on the main ebay page.

Any ebay coupons. Might buy one right now lol

I would buy one but no vesa adapter. Too tall with stand by the .6" or what ever it is to clear the Ikea cabinet above my desk.

They are $280 right now on eBay through OP's link.

Looks like they just jack up the prices with the coupons anyway.

They come with an adapter plate with VESA patterns, I had the same concern but they work great with standard VESA mounts.

After some time passed what are you thinking about the Omen?

Absolutely in love with it. Freesync is still damn impressive, I also have to say I'm impressed with how my Fury is holding up with the new resolution. Colors are fantastic, I did tweak the color temperature in catalyst to 7600k believe it or not, and it seemed to get rid of the slight yellow tinge that everyone had mentioned and got to a pure white point, colors look even more accurate now to my eye (still want to get a calibrator at some point).

Surprisingly I've gotten used to the size quite well, just weird going on websites and not using fullscreen anymore haha, I was really concerned with getting used to the size, and was wishing I had gotten something in the 27" range, but even at about my 3' viewing distance, the 32 is seeming better and better.

Yeah the two year old Fury Cards have a lot of life in them yet. I'd rather have a Fury based card than a RX580. A friend borrowed one of my Fury X card for three weeks recently because he wanted to try freesync. He had a 1070, but a freesync monitor. After he borrowed the Fury X he decided to sell the 1070 because he wanted to keep running freesync. He thought freesync was better than maxing out vsync --- I agree from my experiences.
He sold his 1070 for $325. He wanted to wait for Vega, but it looks to be still three months out. He wanted to buy a Fury X but couldn't find a decent deal on one used for the last week or two.

He bought a RX580 from Microcenter just yesterday, used it for a single night, and bought a Fury X this morning on ebay for $339 used. He said the RX580 was at least 10FPS slower than the Fury X on everything he tried, ran much hotter, and the fans were louder under load. He had a Strix RX580. I've not found anything my Fury X can't run easily at 1440p, it keeps my case cool being watercooled, and it is not any louder under load than at idle. (1 spl)

In crossfire I'm home free for a long time to come -- most likely. I'm curious about Vega, but chances are a single Vega will be slower than my Crossfire'd Fury X cards.

Anyway --- glad you like the Omen, and Freesync. I agree --- freesync is really nice once you try it out. It's an ace in the hole for AMD. Xbox Scorpio is going to implement Freesync - so maybe we'll start getting it on HDTVs before long too.

That explains the fan noise. Asus seriously dropped the R&D ball with their STRIX cards. The fans are noisy as F (I had a RX460 then RX480). They also can't create RGB lighting to save their life. When you select white and it ends up purple that is a problem. Or teal green but it comes out solid rich blue. Come on really! Also had serious multi monitor issues with both cards. (Main 27 computer monitor in office and had my living room receiver connected via hdmi for media streaming) Was always dumping display or plopping a solid green or blue screen up in my living room when I went to stream something after the receiver was powered off. Was also constantly changing my default audio device to the receiver from my desktop speakers. Jriver Media Center has a setting to choose the audio output device yet the card kept doing what it wanted to. When I switched cards I didn't touch the drivers or software so the XFX went in on the same software and settings as the Asus and haven't had a problem since.

Went to an XFX GTR RX480 BE and couldn't be happier.

I've been extremely impressed with mine, I went from CF 7970's to the single Nitro Fury when newegg had them for $280 and have been impressed with it ever since (just wish someone made a waterblock for it) That's impressive with your friend on the 1070 vs the Fury X, since so many people like to say that the Fury is slower than 1070, and keep claiming that vega will match the 1070 heh. One of the main reasons I'm looking heavily at Vega is the lack of a waterblock for my Nitro card.

Scorpio getting Freesync may very well get me to buy one, if there is a display for it as well heh, after seeing the dramatic improvement when you go below 60 on my PC, it could damn well make console gaming tolerable again.

I was debating picking one of these up to pair with my XFX RX 480 (8GB). If I'm using freesync, will the card be pushing itself to the limit, causing the fans to ramp up? Or will it be like VSync, where it kind of works without pushing too hard?
