What would be the minimum I can run? Im trying to get away with a Seasonic 750 gold that I have laying around but im not sure. Im going to be running a dual x5660, a GTX980ti and 2 drives. For cooling a Corsair H115.

750 is a bit small, you can expect 200W per socket and 250 for the GPU so that's pushing it pretty hard.

I was thinking 100w per socket, 250w for GPU and then all accessories but I might just go ahead and sell the 750 and get a 1000w

If you're planning on overclocking you'll easily pull 200W per socket at 4+GHz.

x5660 is a 95w part, iirc. So, no serious overclocking at 750w.

To fully power the board you will need two 8 pin connectors and three PCIE connectors. SR-2's are hungry and mine is finicky when it comes to power.

I started with a 950w PCP&C and moved up to an Evga 1300w unit. But, I have 130w chips and sli'd 980ti's, 4 spinners and a bunch of SSD's. My killowat registered over 1200 when pushing the system over 4.5Ghz and running the 908ti's over 1470.

I broke out a 2nd PS when I went tri-sli for a day.

Yea I wont go as crazy as you. Im staying with a single 980ti, 1 SSD, 1 HDD, 1 optical.

I think im going with the Seasonic Prime 1000w titanium
