Pulled out of a Lenovo

It's PWM, so I bet it rarely ever saw more than 50% of it's full speed. There were a lot of Dell desktops back in the day that used high-RPM Deltas, but they're PWM so as long as everything isn't caked with dust, you'll rarely hear the fan spin up.

yup I had an AVC from an insperon tower that was 130CFM, 3600rpm, ~50db and pwm but I accidentally fried it in a rewire mishap :(

The legend... :D

I have 4 Panaflo H1A's on my h100 rad in a push pull config. Those bastards are loud at 100%. Sound like a jet engine.

Rated at 104CFM and 42.5 dBA.

I couldn't even imagine some of the ones above lol..

I also have a bunch of antec D12E0046-6 from years ago, somewhere. 120x38.5mm 105cfm 2600rpm @44db. they were really nice, maybe I should dig those up...
I don't know where my deltas got too...

Oh my the infamous delta fans. I lost a few finger pieces using those on the old Thermalright sinks during my 478 days.

Nice find!

I used this exact case starting back in 97/98 until probably 03/04, and modded the front snap-in 80mm fan retainer later on for housing a Delta 80x38mm 102cfm 12UHE to help cool an Athlon XP Palomino 1600+, which was later upgraded to a Barton 2500+. That fucker was louder than any household vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. The case still has a soft spot in my heart...I think I paid maybe $25-30 shipped back then and it was quite easy to work with. I used to call it my "R2D2 case", because of the styling of the power button and LEDs around it (couldn't find a better/clearer picture from a Google search to show any clear details).

Know what you mean. This Dell t3500 has two high flow 120mm intakes. First time I ran Prime95 the CPU shot up to 201 degrees and the fans went into hurricane mode. Thought my cat was going to get sucked in through the front grill.

I like how the logo has a picture of a speaker. Seems appropriate.

Credit where credit is due, the high RPM fans were amazing for actual cooling, even at 7V. At 7V, they're even almost bearable.
I think the logo is actually an abstract representation of a finger tip being cut off. the circle presents the motion of the fan blades and shows it cutting through a finger tip andif you look at it up-side-down the black triangle looks like a yield or caution sign. see what I mean?! :)

If such fans are a surprise, you all must be too young to remember the screaming 60mm HSF's from the early 2000's.

The first time one caught my fingertip it took a lot of fingernail with it. Those things were just dangerous.

Or at least should have come with ear protection
What'd ya say?

I could hear them standing outside my office window.

I owned a couple of those back in 2000ish, but I'd be surprised to find one in a new product now, unless it was meant for a server room.

My best friend used to have 4 of the deltas in his gaming rig, he called it the hovercraft haha

Isn't that why they usually came with grilles, even for use inside a case? The ones I had all came installed on heatsinks, but they still had fan grilles on them.
Well, they had "built in grill" on one side for flow direction, but the other side was open...much like a wood chipper.

On one of my Slot A's I had (2) of those Deltas. Then when the Socket A's came out I ran a single Delta on each CPU on a Tyan SMP board. ...it didn't take long for me to switch to H2O. lol

Ahhh, early 2000's .... the loud ass hairdryer fan that came with the AMD Palomino 1600+ made my cat deaf. First mod I did to that rig was buy a ThermalRight SK7 sink and quiet 80mm fan.

not quite right. I lost more than a couple fingertips to Deltas.

I just thought that people had gotten smart enough to stop using these fucking things!

i remmber back in the day i had a thermatake fan that spun so fast once chopped my finger nail clean off just barey missed my finger lol.

I still swear by Panaflo, personally. All the newer fancy "high static pressure" designs tend to be shit compared with them.
