Raja explains in interview Vega High Bandwidth Cache gaming devwork etc

Shintai, you hate AMD, it's clear. What is also clear is that you are trying to downplay any benefit that Vega brings to the table. Really, I think you need a moderator assisted break from the AMD sub forums.

Congrats on your upcoming new video hardware. Will there be regular driver updates now?

When I was running an AMD card there were monthly updates. Sure, they weren't WHQL but in the last year or so Microsoft seems to have forgotten what that Q means anyway.

In the last 6 mths or so they have had nearly 2-3 updates per month, but again it depends on whether you are in need of them. Guess if you are the buy-every-new-game-on-release kind of guy then they are a necessity.

If it's around a 1080 then 8GB of VRAM is fine.

I really want AMD to work on drivers and cost competitive cards. Matching a 1080 is fine as long as the cost makes sense.

One thing that has bugged me for years about AMD are these half baked fantasy techs. It's like they challenged engineering to innovate and make disruptive tech but didn't want to fund it right... So you just piss away money. I might have personal experience with this. :)
