3GHz barrier broken by GTX 1060 on LN2

So it beats out the 980 by a slightly bigger margin?

Kidding aside, it's kinda cool. Maybe at this rate with the refresh we'll get better chips on air.

Just for reference, because I like doing these hypotheticals at 3GHz.

A pascal titan x at 3ghz would push 21.5Tflop FP32...288GPixel/s... 672GTexel/s and it would be severely memory bottlenecked

Would be flat out faster than 2 overclocked 2100mhz 1080s in SLI with 100% scaling, if it weren't memory bottlenecked

was it stable....if not who the fuck cares? I am all for phase changing and getting mad speeds but if it crashes whats the phone?

Obviously phase change can't get -100 but you get my point. All these things are just turning on and does it post....big whoop.

Triple cascaded phase change can produce well below -100C, but I figure literally no one runs this kind of setup. I'd wonder how many people are really running (for their 24/7 use systems) direct-die phase change on their GPUs, or even any sort at all (water-chilling being more practical because a single phase-change unit can chill the whole cooling loop, and regular water blocks can be used) - it seems to have gone out of favor with us enthusiasts.

That said... 3Ghz is something to look forward to. :)

yea i was referring to normal set ups lol. -x -xx levels, which still get you a lot better clocks and can be 24/7 stable.
