Drone That Flies Like A Bird?

I wish this video contained a lot less talking and a lot more drone flying. I like the idea but, from what you see in the video, you can't tell if this thing can fly any different than a regular RC plane. :(
 
I didn't watch much, but what I saw suggests it's the control surfaces that are mimicking the bird flight characteristics. The bird part isn't much of the propulsion solution, just the control. It's interesting though.

Depends on the RC plane. In the search for lighter and lighter materials, wind definately has turned out to be more of nuiscance. Ever seen one of those joke vids about RC planes in the wind and then drones in the wind? I laughed.
 
It's a variable wing geometry plane like F14 Tomcat. Only difference is they put ridiculous looking feather like canvas on it.

RC ornithopters have been around for a while and mimic a bird much better than that silly thing.
