Best Sprint phone display for use in the sun?

I currently have an LG G4, but the display is horrible when I'm outside. 80% of my 8 hour work day is outside on a roof. Even inside the truck it seems like I have to have it around 85% for it to not be so dark. I like the phone because of the removable battery, which allows me to always have a full battery. That comes in handy, because my battery drains pretty quick b/c of the brightness.

I know I probably won't find another better display on a phone that has a removable battery, but what else out there is the best Sprint phone for daily use in the sun? I understand the battery will suffer still, but I just want something that will actually let me see the phone in the sun without having to put it up to my face. Having the brightness up high makes this phone hot in my pocket.

I don't care if it's Android or Apple. Sprint doesn't have any phones, so would the S7 be my best option?

I'd give a looky at the LG v20 if you're not prejudiced against LG (some folks are for some admittedly valid reasons). And you keep your removable battery and SD card. And it is on Sprint.

Working roofs...I presume your phones wear Otterboxes, which do cut down on the screen brightness a bit

I've had a G2, G3, and now G4. I've had some bad luck with them, but removable battery is a huge + in my book, so I've continued to support them (though I don't want to at times, lol). Sprint doesn't have a huge selection of phones, so I guess it comes down to the G5, V20, iPhone 7s, or S7. I wanted to get away from LG and try something else, but they really are the best phone to have in my situation. Having to constantly keep on my phone on a charger every time I get in the truck is annoying, so the extra battery is nice to have. I just swap batteries when mine is about to die, throw the other in the charging cradle, and don't put ware and tear on my charging cable as much.

I use a Spigen case and a tempered glass screen protector. Nothing fancy, as I don't do the hard work now. I just do small repairs since joining the school board, so I don't need a life proof type case.

iPhone 7 looks like a safe bet along with a G5 (and maybe the v20 if the screen is as bright?):

Thanks. I'll read into that. I figured the iPhone 7's would be near the top of my list. Wasn't quite sure of the LG's, but I guess they did improve over the G4.

v20 is brighter than g5. Manual brightness: 300 vs 475 nits, Auto brightness: 378 vs 630 nits

Thanks. I'll read into that also. I'll have to find something that compares them to the G4 also.
