Who comes up with stupid ideas like this? First of all, no one wants to see my face on a review of my lunch. Secondly, unless you want the restaurant owner and employees to know who you are, how smart is it to slap your face on scathing 0 star review?

It will make it easier for the badly reviewed places to spot their targets for that all important spit in your food moment.

and that won't backfire when someone decides to take a "yelfie" after taking a dump at a restaurant...

nope, never, not gonna happen

I would so use that, but hold a pic of someone I didn't like up for the pic instead of me. I mean, I would if I was a mean spirited person who used social media in any form past forums, which I don't. So yeah, I would not use that I guess.

Still I could so see dick picks popping up everywhere on yelp.

Too close to 'yiffy' and the damnable sub group that is furries.

Yeah, they should have thought this one through...
Dear Restaurant - your food sucks and I hate your servers. Please feel free to spit in my food next time I'm in. K-Thx.

I just read that Congress passed the Consumer Review Fairness Act and is awaiting Obama's signature. It is supposed to make it illegal to punish customers who criticize businesses online. I think this is why this "yelfie" idea has come to life. Still stupid IMO.

Yet another tool for the ignorant masses to self medicate via perceived self importance. More "look at me" tools because mommy and daddy didn't give enough attention. Or too much. Sigh...

They're just trying to stay relevant.

"Life's better with Yelp." is one of their ad slogan's. For who?

We use Yelp all the time when traveling and takes us to some pretty awesome places. My lady likes to rate and document places we've been also while traveling which this is great for. It's helluva a lot better than google reviews anyways and pretty sure rating places to dine isn't a bad thing.
