almost gone $250 34" 2560x1080 75hz free sync LG monitor

If you buy 2560x1080 @ 34" 21:9 you'll just hate yourself when you're trying to sell it next week; no one will buy that shit-show when you're wishing you'd bought a proper 3440x1440 34" 21:9 or a 40" 4K TV.

Literally no one should ever buy this display size/resolution/aspect ratio. Ever.

If you can't afford full res 21:9 34" or 40" 4K, get a 32" 2K display (HP Omen).

You're welcome.

could have been a little nicer about it lol.
but i agree with his statement

here is the customer base.

Someone who has a 27" 1080p now and has a 970 level graphics card. The PPI is about the same between that and the 27". So they aren't losing anything and are gaining width. They don't have to upgrade their video card to keep 60fps and high settings.

1080p content (of which their is a lot) isn't stretched, rescaled, or resized if you don't want it to be. (Just black bars on left and right)

Don't give them reasons why a monitor like this is reasonable. Everyone here has at least SLI 1080s and intel 2011 CPUs.

Yea instead of being ZOMG stretched....your DVD video is tiny and adorable on your gigantic monitor.

For guys who have AMD video cards and want a cheap, good-sized monitor upgrade over a stock @1080p at 27" or less, yeah, this is actually a pretty darn good deal, with the FreeSync. NVIDIA owners, less of a deal due to not being G-Sync.

Conclusion: YMMV, although pixelation can be an issue. Maybe run it at a higher resolution via VSR?

Whatever, man. In my opinion, the problem with this monitor is not the resolution but the refresh rate only at 60 Hz. Although at this price, it is a bargain.

Once you've played an FPS game at 144 Hz, you'll never go back, even for 3440x1440.

===========

Correction: it's 75Hz, can't beat it for this price.

Totally disagree for the most part. I have 34" at this resolution and it is great for games. Looks fantastic. My only complaint is the 21:9 aspect ratio not getting supported by some new games still. That being said i prefer my 32" overall with the extra verticle viewing.

Yeah, that's terrible pixel density, I got rid of my 27 inch 2560x1440 144hz Pixio px277 because the BLB was so bad. Also an invisible line down the middle of screen kept popping up. I'm currently waiting for the HP Omen 32 inch 2560x1440 which is the same ppi as a 24 inch 1080p monitor. I'm hoping VA removed BLB, contrast ratio provided a nicer picture. It's only 75hz, but I'll take image quality over the garbage BLB on a 144hz screen. Build quality and picture come first for me always.

I tried a 144Hz monitor and I couldn't tell the difference between it and 75hz monitor (both with freesync) in gaming. Both seemed super smooth to my eyes.

im loving the 75hz freesync. Im completely 100% happy with this purchase

I have a bottom of the barrel AOC 24" 1080p screen and really need an upgrade. I don't game much outside of CSGO, BF Series, and Overwatch. Kind of on the edge whether or not I should buy this or wait for another deal.

i love my ultrawide 34 inch LG. 2560x1080 no need to upgrade my 290x to play games on higher settings. not for everyone. but I love mine.

32" 2560 x 1440p is the cats fucking roar and the perfect size for high productivity. I could never go back.

Anything bigger and you find yourself rearranging dialog boxes and shit all the time so you can read them without unscrewing your head.

A 34in monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio is good for some movies and/or having several doc or pdf files open at the same time parallel to each other. But if I was going to do that I'd much rather get 3440x1440.

34" @ 1080?

Fuck no. I hate, HATE ultra wide. Ninja eye slit viewport.

After reading this I'm questioning myself and my 49" IPS 4K Microboard

After having the Omen for about a week now, I have to agree. I was skeptical of it being too big for my tastes, but it's actually just right. It can't be understated, this monitor is gorgeous, I'm really surprised by how high quality it is for just 300 bucks. The stand is solid metal, nice black matte paint, the overall build and bezels have a high quality, albeit plastic feel. The buttons are very solid and provide great feedback, the OSD is extremely easy to navigate. There's no BLB to speak of, just some glow in the corners due to the panel being edge lit. Even the overall response time feels fast, no real noticeable difference between that in the Pixio. Having 144hz would be nice, but 75 is fine for most games and it still feels excellent, I'm much happier with this display.
