Hi all,

I picked up some surplus computers, and they're worth more as parts than as computers. All prices include shipping unless otherwise noted:

FOR SALE:
  • 2GB DDR2-5300 (667MHz) DIMMS - working pulls from Dell desktops. Some are stock Nanya with a Dell sticker, some have Micron chips. $9 ea, 2 for $16, 4 for $30 shipped

FREE (Just pay shipping):
  • Pentium D 925's
  • Short SATA cables. Some are 6" and blue with a right-angle connector on one end. The others are 11" OAL and orange with straight connectors. Great for tidying up your wiring, I guess?
  • Dell Optiplex 745 cases. Also compatible with the 755's and 760's at least.

Do the 745 cases include the power supplies? Or simply, case only?
Case only. Many, if not most, of the power supplies come from the era of Bad Capacitors, and I haven't tested them yet.

Okay, thanks for clarifying. I've been refurbishing these with cheap 760/80 boards from eBay and giving them away locally. Most of the parts still worked fine, psu included.

The PSUs from the 745's actually aren't compatible with the 760/780 boards. The 745's used IDE optical drives, with a IDE-to-SATA adapter board, which had a non-standard power connector. The PSUs from the 745's only have one standard SATA and one of the non-standard connectors.

Are these mini-tower or desktop form cases? I should have asked that before.

They are the small form factor cases, like these:

Got it, that's why I was confused, I was thinking they were DT or MT. You're correct about the optical drive power connector, I just ordered a special power cord for one I have here that came w/o the ODD.
