Omg, limpet charges are too much fun. Someone on the other side of a wall? No problem, the wall is a weapon. Ready to clear an occupied house? Just crack it open with some shock and awe, and then vault through the breach before the occupants know what hit them. Need a crater to hide in? NP. Probably the most fun thing is exposing yourself briefly enough to entice the enemy to chase you around a corner, so you can drop a building on them. lol.
Limpet charges in chokepoints pretty much become the best thing ever, I've pulled 5-6 kills at a time off of one well placed charge in a hallway or on a building.

Man, this game has me by the balls. Even though it was DXP on IW, I didn't play that crap of a game. This one though, is giving me the bangs for bucks like I have never seen them before. Already at the 16 hour mark and hit level 19. Some guy had like squad XP boost and I played a couple of rounds with him. Got highest score in the game and was number 2 across the board.
Also unlocked that Selblaster Optical. My word, that Medic Sniper is king of idiots. Much better than Moondragon bullshits!
I give this game an 11/10. Such a great game! Need that season pass for cheap so hit me with offers!

^^^ Gotta disagree... game feels like a step backwards. Lvl 13 and am struggling to find any redeeming qualities at all. Probab;y just go back to BF4 if it does not get better.

Agreed I've already given up on this game.
To each his own, I love BF1 so far. Hit Lvl 28 last night and I'm still having a blast, I find the game vastly more fun if your willing to switch classes at any moment to suit the situation. Something really enjoyable about going from support shredding guys up to a shotty assault loaded up with dynamite to deal with that tank/bunker that you cant fight your way into. I love making my own doorway into a bulding or a crater in a field to hide in when I need it lol
I finally hit lvl 10 on medic and unlocked the Selbstlader 1906 but its maybe the worst gun, lol. its fun to use cause you can fire 5 shots in 1 second. if someone isn't moving, you can kill them ultra fast. most of the time people are moving. I think my favoite gun is actually the default one... Cei-Rigotti. good close to long range. and auto. you can focus on aiming and just hold down the button with short-medium range engangements. auto wont do well long range.
they really need to change the 1906, it doesn't make sense its the lvl 10 unlock and its the worst gun.

Got a way to go, only a 3 on medic. I think this class really needs another viable cq weapon. The sweeper for me at least shoots too slow and doesn't seem as accurate as it should be. I wish the tommy gun could be used but it didn't see WW1 service, but this is DICE we're talking about
I kinda think the level'd guns are just different. Not so much better. Otherwise it makes it so the newer players get demolished right off the bat and likely quit.

I'll have to give it a check again. I've primarily been installing my drivers via the executable file directly downloaded from the website.
Ugh, pathetic response. Were there badmins in previous BF games on PC? Sure, but you just AVOIDED those servers. The whole benefit of dedicated servers with real admin power is to build communities.
I see SEC8 has a BF1 server up now, but with the pathetically limited controls there's not much they can do. I love BF and will probably buy it on a black friday sale (depending on price), but I reaaaallly want better control for admins so strong communities can be built. Playing BF on random servers with random people is nowhere near as fun as playing with reliable people who PTFO.
yes you're right. it should be as good as the other guns. its just that right now, its worse. I heard some people play it like using a sniper rifle, so I'll try that. taking time with shots.

Hit level 19. The Selblaster 1916 Optical is the best medic sniper. Full auto as well. Had multiple 1v1 with it with snipers. Guess who won .

I am done with this game. 40 hours in level 30. Getting 1 shotted by shotguns across the map was the last straw.
Maybe one day the future they will fix these issues and get real dedicated servers but until then I am uninstalling this steaming pile of doo doo.

40 hours. Steaming Pile. Nice. Seems like fatigue more than anything.
Also never had issue of getting 1 shotted across the map. All my shotgun encounters were very close with 90% of time someone snuck up on me and unload the hunter shotty. It is OP but yeah.
None of you are being "one shotted by shotguns across the map". The 10-A Hunter does 4.2 damage per pellet at 22+ meters, and it has 20 pellets total. If every.single.pellet. hit you, you STILL won't die. And there is no headshot multiplier for shotguns(buckshot). Now go shoot a wall at 20m away and look at the spread....sorry, not happening. You were either damaged before or took damage at the same time.
The 870 with a fullchoke and buckshot in BF4 is MILES more powerful than the 10-A hunter, and it took 2 years of balancing to get it to that. Too many children think that a shotgun shoots like you're throwing a handful of gravel... And there is a reason you only see the shotgun being used on basically one close quarter map(Argonne forest), because it's still EASILY outgunned by pretty much every other weapon in the game.
Edit: And even if someone domes you with a SLUG from far away you STILL wont die to one shot past around 60 meters. That's a tad bit closer than "across the map". You also deserve to die and the other player deserves the kill if they headshot you with a slug

Me too! I haven't been able to play in a few days because of that. Game ran beautifully before that - not sure how they broke it.

yep agreed. people are using 'long distance' too loosely. i was using the 10-A slug last night and pretty much only landing body shots at the distance i was using it. i only killed people with one shot if they were already low on health to begin with.

Best Buy will still be cheaper for Black Friday anyway. I am waiting for the bundle of premium and season pass at this point. I figure by then maybe the rental server program will finally match the past Battlefields or I will know to avoid the game.

yes i played the beta, 1.5 KDR and lvl 26 if that means anything ( pub hero lol )
stayed away from the recon class and played the other 3 for 90% of the time.
game definately has some positive changes / additions but it pales when compared directly to the experience you can get on a proper BF4 48p 60hz "classic" server

preordered the "BF3 limited edition" from a cdkey store back in mid 2011 for 30$ ~ , really enjoyed my purchase at first but all that rebalancing and shitstorm of updates ( that fixed one bug while introducing 10 others at the same time ) turned me off before even reaching the "300hrs played" mark
never preordered a single EA title ever since ^ I actually bought BF4 for 12$ on its 2 year anniversary, and I will still play BF4 on and off until the last 60hz classic EU located server out there shuts down.
getting back to the topic, 60hz servers in BF1 don't feel responsive AT ALL, battle(non)sense youtuber has scientific proof that 60hz BF1 servers are more laggy than the 60hz BF4 ones plus
the whole "rent a server" program is a total travesty ! not only they want to fragment their playerbase once again with paid maps, now they try to reduce the game's online life span on purpose !!
A BF game that it's still being played by thousands of people 2 and 3 years after launch is not profitable for their business model, if it was then EA would not even bother publishing Turdline nor launching BF4 SIX months prior target release ( March 2014 )
I'll just save my hard earned money for a boxed copy of overwatch around 30-40$ and play the shit out of it in my precious free time until RS2 vietnam comes out

Some of BF1's vehicles are painfully slow. Tanking and flying is significantly different thanks to the limitations of WWI. They just require a totally different mindset.
I'm waiting for WW2. Tiger tanks, Spitfires's, 109's, 190's, 51's, Corsairs, Zero's. Omaha beach, Ardennes Forest, etc.

I already got titanfall 2 and love that game. Should i bother with BF1 since its on sale at $40??? or wait ?
Was considering grabbing on sale during BF , but I have 4k monitors and Titan X (Maxwell) in SLI also. Did SLI originally work well ?
