[BestBuy@eBay] GTX 1080 FE - $449

They were canceling it as I walked to the counter to pick it up. Manager said it was a known mistake and wouldn't match.

Only a matter of time before word got around. Too expensive to go unnoticed. I didn't wait for the order ready text. Caught them as soon as they opened. All tired and wanting me out the store
 
Yeah, Sioux Falls would not honor it either. When I first got there, they told me they didn't even sell the 1080 version, so I went back to the shelf and brought one up. They called corporate and I knew it was over then, and sure enough, we are cancelling your order and call 888-bestbuy to complain....
 
So BB managers in Florida are the gullible ones eh? Too bad I'm in Portland, Oregon...
 
They cancelled my order because "buyer didn't pick up the package". I guess they want the customers to pick their stuff up in <8 hours.

Hah, I spent an hour talking to the manager about the card. They wouldn't price match and ended up giving me a 20 dollar gift certificate, total waste of time.
 
No go in Orem, UT.

I brought one to the register, and the clerk said that the SKU didn't match. A confused manager called it in, and told me that it was a known mistake.

I drove up to the American Fork Best Buy, and the cards had a "see associate" sign, so I didn't even bother.
 
Just came back from best buy with my card. They had a 1070 waiting as I expected but when they looked up my order they said it had been cancelled even though I was never notified. They rung me up as a price match but to be fair I used to work at this BB so I knew the guys and they hooked me up a bit.

I got one as well. I'm debating whether or not I really want it though. If anyone wants it and wants to throw an offer my way, I'll entertain it. Still sealed and receipt of course.
 
I requested one but I have yet to see any response yet, maybe they just got inundated with this whole listing mistake debacle.

I had ordered for store pickup Yesterday, but I was at work. By time I was getting ready to leave at end of my shift, they had cancelled my order. Oh well at least I didn't waste my time to drive 15 miles out of my way to find out they wouldn't give it to me.

I know I have a buddy that works at best buy as a manger and he would have hooked it up but got called into work on my day off. So I freaken missed out. Have one already and wanted to SLI badly.

I've been running a 1080 since launch, should I go SLI? Highest res I run is 1440p, but I have a 144hz monitor.

Like everyone else will likely say depending on the game and the quality setting. If you want to hit 144hz or so then I think you might have to jump up to a Ti if you play 1440p maxed out in something like Battlefield 1. My 1080 does about high 70s to around 110ish at 1440p maxed and 65-70fps at 4k maxed.
 
ordered it from bestbuy.com directly the day of the screw up... got the shipment in last night and.... DRUMROLL.....they sent me a 1070. went to my best buy store and first checked if they had any 1080 which they didnt...they i saw that the sku was the same as the sku of the 1070....simply returned it..i didnt even bothered....

anyone want to sell me there 1080 for honored price plus shipping?

Hate to add insult to injury but I just got $40 is ebay gift cards for the 2 canceled 1080 orders.

"The NVidia Founders Edition GeForce GTX 1080 Graphic Card (item number 322234403067) was priced incorrectly.
Customers who purchased this graphic card either received the incorrect version or the transaction was canceled."

This the first time I've caught one of these "deals" or mistakes on this forum or overclock.net. Gotta check everyday. A 1080 for $437 after this discount. Wow
 
Now we just need everyone to start bitching about how terrible it was to bank on a pricing error. My two 970's for $300 (total) came from something similar, and boy were there some butt hurt people who didn't get to buy one in that thread,

477 + $40 in eBay gift card + Gears of War 4. Comparing it to paying 1k for 2 cards is your idea of a better deal? If you have 1k, then your waiting for the ti and this deal wasn't for you anyway.
