Yes we are aware of this issue and looking for solution as we speak.

Have the same problem with the forum, has been going on since the forum rebuild a couple of months ago, only way I'm in here is through a VPN.

Looks like a DNSSEC misconfiguration. There are no problems if you try to resolve hardocp.com win a DNNSEC unaware resolver.
BTW, hardocp and hardforum are ipv6 enabled... not bad.

also fuck you java, everybody and their mothers hate it, just saying

for some reason, Google's public DNS returns empty results but if you do a trace and it queries cloudflare's DNS servers, it gets results.

for the time being, I added entries to my hosts file. :)

Code:
2400:cb00:2048:1::6819:cb22     hardocp.com
2400:cb00:2048:1::6819:ca22     hardocp.com

You are correct sir.

also depends on how slow register.com is and what the original TTL was

Corrections are hopefully pushing out now.

We have figured out our DNS issues with HardOCP.com. However our registrar is less than helpful as it turns out they do not handle some DNS protocols in-house and will not put us in contact with support with the contractor that handles this specifically. So we have sent in corrections, but are waiting on emails to confirm our changes. You can use OpenDNS servers to reach HardOCP.com currently. OpenDNS - 208.67.222.222 - 208.67.220.220

Yup, looks like some open recursive DNS servers are working correctly.
Code:
$ dig hardocp.com a @ordns.he.net +short
104.25.203.34
104.25.202.34
$ dig hardocp.com a @208.67.222.222 +short
104.25.203.34
104.25.202.34
$ dig hardocp.com a @4.2.2.2 +short

Google's Public DNS (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 etc) isn't up to snuff yet though :p

Whew! For the past 1.5 days I've been thinking this problem was on my end. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's been having problems. Using OpenDNS isn't working for me though. :/

Correction; it's now working for me using OpenDNS, but I had to disable DNSSEC in pfsense to make it work. :/

I'm seeing some DNS issues in some other sites also.

Wonder what is up there.

1:30am and Google DNS still AFU. OpenDNS brings the site up but with missing elements.

Google is still blank. The other servers listed when I do a Dig are all populated.

Fix is to use and suggested. All I got right now. Register.com support is shit
Moving all my domains this week.

And, I tested from my secondary box which doesn't have the DNS for hardocp.com cached.... and it works.

yup seems to be working for the most part now using google DNS, guessing they either caved and fixed it or kyle was able to get the URL's switched to a different registrar.

It will likely fall of again because Register.com and their support is total shit.

Didnt have the issue initially but now getting it ;/ Comes and goes.

Yeah, we are moving all our DNS to a new registrar this weekend. Sucks....

Ahhh gotcha. ;/ Did not realize it wasnt fixed. Good luck! and thanks :D

Been happening several times over the past few days. I just changed the DNS settings on my phone about 20 min ago and thought I had fixed it on my own... turns out Kyle beat me to it.

same here, works when I'm tethered to my phone but not on university WiFi.

Flush your DNS cache. Google DNS has been correct for 24 hours.
8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
