I think there is some sort of co-op/bot mode, but I can't see paying $30 for that alone. MP is a non-starter for me.
 
OK thanks for the replies. I thought I had read that they had put in single player.
 
The question is whether this is worth it for those of us who have the standard edition, want the season pass but don't want to pay full price. Would it be cheaper on Black Friday?
 
I have about 75 hours in the game. I liked it quite a bit. I'd play it more if my friends hadn't started to move on.

Easily worth $60 in my opinion. Definitely worth $30.

Loving it on PC myself

I just can't get into the BF games on XBONE. The aiming feels clunky as hell to me. SP is ok but when it comes down to the rapid twitch shooting needed for MP the controls just aren't there with the xbox controller. Nothing beats a KB and mouse.
 
There's one more DLC yet to be released which will be focused on the new Star Wars movie Rouge One, that might bring back some people but in general the DLC packs don't get much play. They need to release the expansion packs to everyone who bought the game, probably won't do that for another six months if that.

They did add an offline skirmish mode against bots for a few of the game types but not enough to consider it for single player, the graphics and sound are top notch but it leaves you salty because there's no single player campaign. It's almost a tech demo of sorts.

Yeah, and I'm of the belief that the lack of the server browser is a big reason for a lot of the lower playerbase numbers. If you can't choose a server with a good connection or certain number of slots open so your friends can join, it's a really worthless multiplayer game.

That said, I'm addicted to the gameplay and have over 100 hours in. I snapped this up. However, it came up as a "pre-order". Why I have to wait nine days to activate a game that came out a year ago, I have no idea.
 
Uh it is multiplayer only and has no population. So it is a waste of money unless you just want to be a tourist in a ghost town.

I got the standard edition of battlefront + the season pass.

Ultimate edition is supposed to be the ultimate edition battlefront + the season pass.

When I look under extra content on origin, the "Ultimate Upgrade" pack requires purchase.

Not the end of the world, but it's shitty they advertise it as the ultimate edition when its not.

I didn't buy this, but I would email their support because it is clearly labelled as the Ultimate Edition, including all of the specifics that doug_7506 mentioned above, on the site.
