When buying over 40 drives just a little difference becomes a big one. What are real world experiences for the differences on these drives?
I am upgrading a system from 2TB drives to 6TB drives, this system runs FreeNAS we run 7 VDev's into one pool all VDev's are RaidZ2. Using RaidZ2 I have had 0 data loss ever, I usually have at least 1-2 hot spares in the machines. I haven't lost data even when using drives through the high failure Segate disaster etc. This system is used mostly for a whole home video and audio system. So it is lots of storage but a not of changes throughput etc.
TIA
