Sub-6 Liter Case for Mini-ITX and SFX PSU (No GPU)

Good day all. I am looking for a sub-6 liter case for a Mini-ITX motherboard and Silverstone ST30SF PSU supporting an Intel G4400 w/ Cryorig C7 (47 mm height requirement). I do not use GPU video cards. The smallest cases I have found thus far are:

Silverstone ML06/ML06-E/ML05 @ 7L
Jonsbo V2 @ 6.8L
Realan E-W150 @ 6.75L
Lian-Li PC-Q12 @ 6.68L

Any recommendations for something smaller?

Cheers and respects.

Depends how soon you're after them? There's The MI-6: ---Pre-Order List--- but you'd be waiting a while, also probably a moot choice given your requirement around GPU (not required). Also it's closer to 7l.

There is a 4l case being looked at as well on here but it'll come with a flex psu, Hutzy XS — Ultra Compact Gaming Case (wont fit your cooler)

Otherwise not sure. Sub 6l is really hard to find.

ISK110 VESA - antec.com is another but I believe it may be discontinued? (unsure about cooler height)

Appreciate your reply. Yes, I saw the MI-6 and Hutzy XS cases but I would like a case now.

The Antec ISK110 comes with an external PSU... I am really looking for SFX PSU compatibility at the moment... though if unsuccessful the Antec is my Plan B as it does fit my Cryorig C7 cooler. Cheers.

Any particular reason for requiring a SFX psu? Inwin has a chopin case, thats 3.5l but comes with a 150w tfx psu

Hello, thank you for replying. Yes. I already have a complete new system that I would like to move down in size from a Cooler Master 110 to a more portable case. I really like the Silverstone PSU and Cryorig C7 that I am using currently. The Chopin is beautiful but besides the power supply it is limited to 43 mm cpu coolers unless there is an easy way to mod it for the Cryorig?

It's too close to call with the Chopin. Phuncz installed a Alpenföhn Silvretta which is 45mm in height and it appears to almost touch the side panel, even though the side panel already bulges outward.

I would get the Antec ISK300-150. Built-in PSU and there's plenty of room there for your C7 fan.

You won't find anything smaller than an ML05/06 that meets your requirements. An SFX PSU is overkill for a GPU-less build, which is why cases that support SFX PSUs also support dedicated graphics. :( And that makes them bigger and not ideally suited to your needs. Honestly, if you're committed to no GPU, you can go sub-2L with something like the ASRock DeskMini 110. The case+motherboard+PSU is only $140. And it comes with a 120W power brick, which is not very big, is lighter than an SFX PSU, and is completely silent. But that would necessitate your starting from scratch, which doesn't seem like something you're willing to do now. But do consider it for a future build. With your current hardware ~7L is the smallest you'll find.

Agreed with what Quantum has mentioned, an SFX makes no sense for a GPU less build since you probably wont exceed the tfx psu temp and wattage limits. Also if you are going for a gpu-less, and smaller size build. wouldn't it make sense to go for NUCs or those all in one mini PCs like what Zotac offers?

Concur, however I already have a complete system, brand new, so looking to downsize the case from a CoolerMaster Elite 110. Would like to use as much of the current system as possible. Also, the Silverstone PSU though slightly more powerful than needed it does runs passively at lower temperatures which is nice.

If I do go the 2-3L sized cases and use a smaller pico PSU-like power supply what is the lowest I should use... 80-90 Watts?

G4400, 16GB RAM, 2 SSD Drives, Cryorig C7

Most cases will be incorporating GPU space or they will be foregoing SFX or internal power supply. I'm curious to see if any case meets your expectations, but it's quite odd that you want such a large cooler and large PSU for such a weak system.

You could definitely safely use a 90W picopsu for this type of system.

In hind sight I made an error on the SFX PSU but I needed a power supply to run the system in the temporary case that I bought (CoolerMaster Elite 110) until I found a solid SFF case that fit the bill.

Reason behind the Cryorig C7 was that I knew I was going to a SFF case that would be very tight and probably have no case fan. Thus the Cryorig will have to cool the CPU/Motherboard/M.2 SSD.
