1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Art Workstation/ Gaming rig

Photoshop
Maya
Unreal 4 Editor (primary workstation goal)
Games to support
TRIPLE MONITOR SURROUND (primary gaming goal)
Games in VR
Bonus - Single monitor 4K with HDR
Games will be anything and everything. Warcraft, Battlefield, The Witcher, Star Citizen, Forza, League of Legends, Paragon...

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1300 for all (including Windows10 license). I have Amazon Prime.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
SLC, Utah, United States

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, MBO, VID, RAM, FAN?
NOTE: I PREFER NVIDIA

REPLACING:
CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz,
MBO Gigabyte GA EP45-DS3LATX Motherboard,
VID EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked 1024MB
RAM 8GB G.SKILL (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800,
FAN $36 XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
FAN $6 XIGMATEK ACK-I7751 Retention Bracket

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
PSU CORSAIR 750W CX series CX750M
CAS Lian Li PC-A05B Mid Tower, (OS Win7 64 bit)
SSD PNY CS1311 960GB 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive
HDD Seagate 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s
DVD $23 SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner Black SATA

My full specs on PC Hound:
PC Hound - Build a PC in Seconds

6) Will you be overclocking?
I don't really know how...? So probably not unless it's easy, low-risk and strongly encouraged

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
MONITORS Dell 2711b x 3
2560x1440 times 3 (triple monitor setup), so, I guess, 7680x1440?

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Now

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
My case isn't probably tall enough to do SLI support, otherwise I'd consider it for futureproofing
Not sure if I'm forgetting anything else

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I need a legit Win10 (probably pro) key

THANKS TO ALL FOR HELP!!!

Something along the lines of - This? I didn't change case as your should be okay for a single GPU. Note the board chosen is not compatible with SLI. 6700k is clocked high enough that you don't really need to OC. But included a cooler anyway to keep temps down. Rest of budget is if you wanted a new case, or change the board to an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming + windows.

GPU is 266mm long supposedly so should also fit fine in your current case without touching the HDD cage.

Working with a $1300 budget, I cane up this Core i7-6800K 3.4GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX - System Build - PCPartPicker
I know it's a little over and doesn't include windows 10 or fans. With all the applications you mentioned, you probably want a 6 core cpu. With three monitors with that combined resolution, you probably need at least a gtx 1080. That doesn't leave a lot of room for other components, hence 16gigs of ddr4 for now to add more to later. There may be cheaper motherboards for X99 platform but it's all your choice. You can add fans later. You can also get windows 7/10 keys cheap. There's a guys selling them on the for sale section for cheap. I got a windows 7 pro key from him for $16 and updated to windows 10 before the deadline.

RAM can be added easily at a later date, as it's relatively cheap/a non issue. X99 would definitely suit you better for rendering/production purposes, but is a fair bit more expensive.

Noting that both setups will be literally leagues ahead of your current setup. No single GPU will handle your res for gaming at max settings etc. A 1080 is obviously better, but your budget doesn't really allow for it at all.

You will get a windows 10 key. You can pm the seller if you have questions. The deal ends 10/10/16

Assuming I can get all this put together before 10/10 I'd guess right? Because the windows key attaches to the motherboard now, doesn't it?

Ok, so let's add on fans and cooling unit for this, and I'll up the budget to match.

I wouldn't mind having a GTX 1080 option and a GTX 1070 option in case that can't work out.

Yes I believe the key attaches to the motherboard, though i'm currently looking into whether there's a way to un-associate the key to the motherboard and use it in a different one. I have two 2 lga1155 systems that I'd like to consolidate into on lga2011 system, and it really pains me to have to get another Windows10 key when those two systems will not be anymore.

Also, before making recommendations on cooling, do you prefer air or AIO? For air, I would suggest a Noctua (like the NH-D15, NH-D15S, and NH-U14). These have performance comparable to a lot of AIO coolers, but the downside is that they are bulky. For AIO, I've had a first generation Corsair H100 on my gaming rig through cpu and board upgrades and I'm still using it. I don't know much else about others, but if really want to go all out, EK Predator 240 looks pretty awesome - but totally not necessary.

You also mentioned fans. What size and what will it/they be used for? Just case cooling?

Ok, I'm about to pull the trigger on this stuff. I have a few more things to iron out.
I'd like to lean more toward a more expensive CPU and MOBO, since I don't expect to upgrade those for about 5 years.
So, I'll up my budget a couple hundred dollars, and/or go with the 1070, but I want to make sure the motherboard and CPU are good to stay for a while.

Also, I'm checking Amazon reviews on some of those parts and I want to make sure these are well performing/ low maintenance.

Right now my amazon cart is looking like this pic
But the Motherboard has only 3.5 stars.

I'm also assuming it will all fit fine in my Lian Li Case?
Just making sure.

It's all up to you and your budget. You can get the Asus X99-A instead for a few more dollars. I don't know much about motherboards but I've always bought Asus or MSI.
I like ASUS

Can't see a difference between the X99-E and the X99-A... (shrug)

You don't need 6850K unless you are doing SLI. The only difference between the 2 is that with the 6850K you get 40 PCIe lanes instead of 28 in the 6800K, oh and an insignificant rise in clock speed. It's just Intel's way of making money.
If you feel like you have room to spend more, my suggestion would be to up your gpu budget and get a hybrid gtx 1080 for low noise and increased performance.

In the end it's your decision, but I would suggest stick with a gtx1080, unless you are really not gaming at the resolution you mentioned. You can start with 16gigs of memory and add on later. I believe that board has 8 ram slots, giving plenty of room. Also I don't know if necessarily need a high speed ddr4 (not sure how much of a difference in performance it equates to). If you get 2400Mhz (instead of 3000) it will also save you some money.
