microcenter in-store only: 512GB SSD $75 Micron M.2

How do you order it online if it's in-store only? Plus it's out of stock everywhere.

Order online and select local pickup to answer your first question.

Microcenter will also occasionally have odd prices for SKUs that no longer have any quantity but have not yet been removed from the system. So it's more or less a non-deal deal.

6 in MN. I will be there end of October. Crossing my fingers.......I'd love to pick up 2!

Reserved one for pickup at the Dallas MC. I can fit this into my m.2 port on my z97 board, or use it as a secondary on my 6i7KYK. Thanks OP.

I bit. Have an m.2 M550 that didn't work in my Asus x99a so here's hoping the M600 works. If not, MC is easy to return to.

I see that Denver has 5 in stock right now!

Any Denver residents?????

I'd pay $100 if you can grab me one. Even if I have to run down to Denver to get the drive.

Either I can come down to Denver or have ya ship it up to Cheyenne.

To any Denver resident: I'll have to go back to work in a few minutes but will return at 5:00 Mountain time. If you grab one I'll pay the $100 tonight.

Welp, I jumped and bought one but now that I look at my desktop MOBO I have no idea how to even plug the thing in. I definitely don't have an M.2 socket.

I just got back from MC Denver- They couldn't find any of the three that they showed in stock while I was there, so they gave me a 525g mx300 m.2 for that same price. wouldn't let me have two though otherwise I woulda had one for you

Thanks man!!! Now Denver is showing sold out again.

Pcie Adapter perhaps? You just need a spare x16 slot (or x4) and a motherboard that supports UEFI boot from NVME. From the light reading I just did, it seems Z87 and up should.

I want to get one, but I have no reason for it in my server.

should have gotten my friend to pick up 4, but oh well. Now to wait for them to ship them.

Well damn! I hope when I get in there this evening they have the one I put on hold.

Looks like the specs on the Asus X99-A say the m.2 slot on the board only supports PICe SSDs (and same with the USB3.1 version of the board).

That's what I was afraid of. Guess that gives me incentive to watch for 950 Pro drops when 960 arrives or just get a 960 soon. Though if I can't use it on my X99 I might see if my wife's PC can use it. She's out of space (again) too.

Once I saw it was in stock again I did instore pickup immediately. Deals like this go so quickly and all.

Yep, don't blame ya there. Trouble is, Denver is over a hundred miles from me so just running down there isn't an option. It would have to be on the weekend.

One can also pick up a sata to m.2 adapter that can fit in either a 2.5" slot or hanging out in an expansion slot without using any pci-e lanes since this ssd and many others are sata drives, not nvme. Just use a regular sata cable from mobo to the adapter.

Oh!. Thanks for that, I havent been paying attention to the latest tech like I used too.

anyone thats upset about missing out, dont be. One thing I learned from watching MC deals, is they always come around again. If they could offer this price once, they almost always do again and several more times after that.

I live about 6 miles from it. LOL I drive by it twice a day to and from work. With traffic and long hours at work, I will pick it up tomorrow and go from there.

That's a thought too but since NVME is getting cheaper and my EVO isn't QUITE full tossing in my wife's Z97 machine is fine.

I am officially jealous. I live down in Pueblo, which wasn't too bad a drive until this summer. I don't know what happened, but now between COS and DEN, you can only drive an average of 35mph during the day due to traffic.

I still order a lot online. But MC pricing and sales on cpu/mobo combos means I rarely order those online anymore.

Thanks a ton man!!!! Trouble is, Denver is showing that they are sold out again. :(

I managed to snag one today at the Cincinnati store. Someone's been grabbing them like mad as soon as they're back in stock o_O. Grabbing one felt like an acheesement for me. I'll pick it up this afternoon. Thanks OP!

Four of them back in stock at the Fairfax VA store...buy them so I'm not tempted to. >.>

They're also selling an M.2 > SATA adapter for $27 (you can get them cheaper online). Considering the 2.5" version of this drive is ~$150 that's not a terrible deal even if you don't have an M.2 port. We'll probably be able to get a 500GB 850 EVO for $100-120 on Cyber Monday, though.

Heads up to GA people. The Duluth MC apparently has 2 in stock. I'd get one but I have no use for it at the moment.

I bought an M.2 > 2.5" SATA adapter from StarTech. Just waiting for my friend to ship the drives to me so I can test it.

I just ordered two drives for local pickup in Detroit. They were showing 6 in stock.

Is it worth buying a PCIe adapter for these, or should I just stick to m.2sata to sata3? If it matters I plan on putting them in RAID 0, but I will not be booting from them.

Just picked up 2 x as well from the Detroit store ;-) so 2 left.....

Did you go to the store, or just order for pick up?

I'm always terrified that they neglect to actually get whatever I order off the shelf before someone else orders them again and ends up buying them out from under you. It's happened to my dad a couple of times.

Order for pickup. You can always check the confirmation email they send you, and it will validate what they actually reserved for you behind the counter. (Never had an issue with it)

NJ has 2. I live 10 miles away.

UPDATE: I got confirmation from MC. Is anyone interested in one of them?

I'd be willing to pay cost + shipping for this. MC is an hour away from me in Detroit, and I haven't gotten a chance to go in when it was in stock yet :\
