We are within one verification period of the suspected winter deal dates so I say it is time to start this thread again.

At the end of the Summer 2016 thread there was speculation as to what might be on the deal; m.2? 6 core? same things?

I won't prognosticate but I will root for the 6800k or 6850k (like Killerxp100) if we are really luck.

Someone else brought up the new m.2 drives which would be cool if the discount is significant.

I would be happy with any x99 CPU even the 5930k again, but a Broadwell CPU would be sweet. Whatever CPU it happens to be it will be used to replace my old x58 setup.

If you need to start working on your rank for better prices!

I am perfectly happy going in twice a month and staying at Master. I just haven't created a routine to do the Legend activities on a regular basis. The price difference isn't huge but I should for the other benefits like having the entire store available when new products become available.

I struggle with knowing that a new 6000 series 4 core chip will probably keep up if not exceed the performance of my 3930k. 6 cores has spoiled me, however.

If Brodwell X99, I'll get in on this.

You and me both. I thought if they brought back the 5930K I might jump. Hopefully they announce a week early like they usually do so I can really ponder it. I don't think I will jump on a 6700k if they go that route again. I can't go back to 4 cores, I just can't!

Get them just to backup sys? These seem like good deals, i dont know about you guys? I need to link up with some of these orgs to get into this program.

they used to have other items like mobos and ssd didnt they ? im only seeing 2 cpus in this sale

There have been occasional SSDs in the last few years, but very few mobos. SSD deals were usually not that far under street price, and not a big draw compared to the CPUs.

Deal this round is 6700K and 6850K.

You need to do about 20 learning mods along with 3 daily quizzes just to purchase it this year. Same as last year basically I've been a Legend for almost two years now.
I want a I7-6850 but the reviews for motherboards for the X99 have me worried.
The site has really evolved since the 3 years I've been on there they even have Hack n Slash mini video games which are pretty funny.

Don't forget the daily quizzes those can be a pain :notworthy:
I even have trouble with them sometimes cause the questions are totally off the wall.

Those quizzes are a pain I have the 3 for the Winter Deal but don't have my 5 for this month I used to do them everyday but go fed up with them so I only do the 5 for the month. Instead of doing it 30 times a month just for chips.

Is there a limit of how many you can buy? Would be looking to buy from someone

Same. Decided it was better to save money up than try and waste my time with never-ending quizzes/activities. Decidedly, another factor was an increase in income.

I'm in the same situation, I'll be passing my 2700k build on to my kids but holy hell you'd think for the price the X99 boards would be rock solid but they seem like there is such terrible quality control it blows my mind. Still not going to stop me from buying the 6850k though!

My Asrock X99 Xtreme 4 is fantastic. No stability problems at all.

That is what I seen the ASROCK boards all have good reviews everything else is mixed with like 3 eggs out of 5 on New Egg.

Picked up another 6700K incase it get water damaged from liquid cooling or something :meh::meh::meh::ROFLMAO:
I might as well stick with my same motherboard if they offer that spectacular 7700K Kaby Lake I mean check out the specs on that!!!!

Those ASROCK motherboards didn't have me swayed to pick up a X99 chipset
I mean all the Processing for games is done with the Graphics card anyway.

I had a refresh button Macro running at 1/2 speed then I turned if off after a while cause I got sick of watching it refresh.

LOL I got lucky and just happened to login.

Grabbed the 6850k, now to decide on the motherboard.. possibly the Asus Deluxe II..

It's been mentioned but the ASRock boards seem to be highly rated. I have a Z97 ASRock board and have been really happy with it. I have an Asus H97 board that doesn't want to play nicely with Windows 10, however.

Which one are you leaning towards?

How long do you guys think it takes for Intel to ship out these chips?

I did this deal back in 2011 and it seem like it took 4 weeks.

Yeah, they usually take a majority of the shipping window estimate. 4 weeks was about right for the last few deals.

Not sure, I used an ASRock board for my wife's PC and it's been rock freakin solid. I've gone through one asus board with my 2700k, I'm on #2 right now.

I received shipping notification for my 6850k....Now to find a use for it...LOL

I just got a shipping notice like 15 minutes ago glad I caught it for the 6700k.
Picked this one up in case my other gets damaged with water cooling :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
But I'm using a EVO 212 to cool the case but want to switched to the AIO Corsair 100iv2 I got for free though the site using points. They really need to keep more stuff in stock in the store. I'm not going to aggressively do the CBLs as I did unless I'm really bored. People are sitting around with 500,000 chips and nothing to spend them on.

Wow they are using UPS this time around huh.....was Fed Ex the last 3-4 times
