OnePlus Three ( 2016 )

I'll wait till the sRGB mode and better RAM management update to come out before saying absolutely no to this one. No Wifi calling or VoLTE on TMo are the other reasons for me to say no. But not completely taking it off the list. We just don't have many choices on good dual sim phones.

I doubt you are going to get sRGB unless its a community patch.

How much of an issue is the ram management actually?

I switched to T-Mobile tonight with mine.

VoLTE does in fact work fine.

Not surprised here.

ROFL @ Lurker. The lesson of the story is don't be a hater. Thanks, vermillion.

The issue with the RAM management is why 6GB of RAM when it pretty much is locked down to 3GB? If you're going to spec the device at 6GB, that better not just be a number on paper. XDA managed to use 5GB and I would say that's what I would expect from a device with 6GB of RAM.

I'm glad the OnePlus or Oxygen seem to have taken the criticism and tried to fix it quickly. I wonder if Cai Pei actually wanted the fixes, cause it seems like he wasn't taking any of the criticisms well; maybe the team or management overruled him?

OnePlus is already starting to roll out sRGB and RAM management patch.

OnePlus 3 Reviewer's OTA RAM Fix & sRGB Mode First Impressions

sRGB looks to be a win.

RAM is better now but personally I still think the RAM management can be even better and the XDA post says the same.

Still a good idea to wait until the final release of that update and more in depth tests are done on the display. It is pretty impressive how quickly they are willing to fix their mistakes though. That's something you won't see from pretty much any of the big manufacturers.

I thought the comment posted by Radeon892 a page back was a response from the Cai Pei regarding the screen?

Wasnt there also another post where someone quoted the CEO as saying that the ram is not an issue?

Also, i'm not hating I am just posting what I read, if I am wrong, I admit it. But I want to buy this phone, and just like you I want these issues resolved.

As an owner of a OnePlus 2, I'm really glad OnePlus released fixes so fast. Hopefully they can keep the updates coming out quick. That's probably my biggest gripe about them at this point. I'd love a OnePlus 3 but not sure how good the software support will be.

Good steps. Lets see what brings in the second haft of 2016. Maybe now a op3 might be in my furture.

If sRGB looks off / yellow with the new update, toggle night mode on and off then reboot. It'll be normal after that.

Well I've had my OnePlus 3 for about a week now and really like it. Battery life is great. The other day I got about 5.5 hours of screen time all on LTE and still had about 15% battery left. The fingerprint scanner is really fast. I can unlock my phone quicker with the scanner then I can trace my unlock pattern. The camera is takes great shots out doors and even in somewhat low light, but It is no iPhone or Galaxy S7 though.
I was a little worried about switching to their gui since I was so used to CM on the OnePlus 1 but it is pretty similar. I spent the extra coin and got an extra Dash charger kit to carry in my brief case but haven't had to use it and I got one of their Apricot wood cases and a Pleson screen shield.

Just picked up a OP3 after seeing the Note7 in person and thinking to myself it is basically a S7e with a stylus. That and they're out of their damned minds at $880 for the N7!?

Nothing else coming soon interested me much other than the Axon 7. Hell, I could own both for the price of admission to the N7!

Don't update to 3.2.4. Users are reporting that it breaks Android Pay and drops LTE.

There's no Do Not Disturb on this phone? Switch only? Um, wth?

BTW, what do you guys think of the camera on the OP3?

That's so far been my only hangup with this phone. Most reviews seem to think it's good, but not really all that great.

I just ordered the OP3 Monday, DHL says scheduled delivery is tomorrow. Package shipped from China! That's great speed if it's all true.

To update this thread...

I picked up a OnePlus 3 last Monday. It arrived on the east coast on Thursday.

Very fast shipping indeed. All the way from China.

The phone itself is fantastic! Camera is better than expected.

Down side is that it's a tad slick on the back of the naked phone. That was remedied by a Spigen case...

Case is exact fit and has a lip that guards both the screen and the camera. It helped quite a bit with grip as well.
