What's the first video game you ever played?

so to qualify further

1st Arcade game requiring quarters, pac-man and then galaxian (the SLOW shooter).
1st console game, hell the default game that came with the Atari 2600 which was pong.

When I was five or six I received a GBC and Pokemon blue for for xmas. I probably played a few other games before that but Pokemon blue was my jam back in the day.

Too young to remember exactly what I saw or played first on my older brother's Atari 2600, but: Asteroids, Combat, Defender, Missile Command, Chopper Command, Pitfall, Indy 500, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Raiders and Tennis. It was played on a wooden Hitachi TV with a metal handle on top.

On PC, text adventure (forget the name), then went on to Zork and Leather of Goddesses of Phobos.

Console, it was an Timex Sinclair 1000 with the 16k RAM pack running Flight Simulator. Many of you may think game load times are horrendous. Many would go flippin' nuts loading FS on the TS1000 since it took 10 to 15 minutes to start the game.

Arcade, Asteroids.

First video game I ever played was Pong on the first Atari.
First PC game I played was X-Wing in DOS of Windows 95

It's like asking what was your first meal besides sucking your mom's nipples. How the fuck should I know? I've been playing games since I was 5 or so.

Sorry to bump but my first video game was Super Mario Bros on a 8-bit Nintendo. My first computer game was Lemmings.

Not counting Pong, it would be Donkey Kong on Atari 2600. I remeber getting it Christmas day and having it taken away in the same morning because I kept throwing tantrums because I kept getting killed by Donkey Kong.

This.... I was seriously wondering if anyone was going to post this here. Seriously, at least I'm not the only old one in this thread.

Pong in a bar machine in the mid-seventies, seems like after a few beers I had a direct connection to the paddle, kind of a zen state. I am secure enough to admit I too, am an old, old fart. Then pong and tank(?) on the 2600, then pretty sure it was 'radar rat race' on the vic 20 (damn, now I have that music in my head again). Not going to count playing baseball & star trek on the ntds (cic) consoles in the navy long, long ago.

I have no clue the name, but I can describe it.

It was on an Atari in the 80s maybe early 90s. Probably the 2600. Can't remember.

The game had ships and planes. The planes would travel from the left of the screen to the right of the screen and the ships would travel from the right of the screen to the left. You could speed them up or slow them down and launch/drop bombs to hit the opposing playing. I used to play it with my one of my cousins at her house. No idea the name.

RadioShack console that hooked up via UHF connection. Basically pong and multiplayer pong and hockey (two pong sticks on screen for each player instead of one ).

First game period, Space Invaders at the local bowling alley.
First console game, Tank Wars Atari 2600
First Computer game, Temple of Apshai (cassette tape) Commdore 64
First PC game, Doom shareware disk
First PC game where I owned the PC, Ultima VII
