Does this mean Lara will die in even more horrific ways in the next Tomb Raider title? The franchise’s new leader served as the creative director for Battlefield Hardline and as the art director for the Dead Space games.

No sequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider has been announced yet, but on Oct. 11, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20-Year Celebration launches on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, which includes the game and all of its previously released DLC, plus a new story chapter and other in-game content. Milham's title with Crystal Dynamics is game director. ""Adventure games have always been my first love," Milham said in a statement. "I've admired Crystal's work for a while now, as they continue to deliver top notch narrative and spectacle, coupled with deep systems and player choice."

Rise of the Tomb Raider is much like the previous Tomb Raider game, but with slightly better graphics. Oddly, performs better on my PC than the previous one as well. Both games have too much scripted events, and too much QTE, which makes sense cause of all the scripted events. Game should be called a movie and not a game. Don't think the developers understand the concept of telling the story through the game mechanics.

Sigh... my heart skipped a beat at just the simple mention of Dead Space. I know the odds are more likely than not that there will never be a Dead Space 4, but a man can dream, right?

There were a few QTE's but there was plenty of game too. It was a lot of fun too.

so the next Tomb Raider game will be set in space...got it

what's this about the new Anniversary Edition coming with a new story chapter...will they add it to the base game for free?...probably not but would be nice

But they ruined it with Dead Space 3. Should have been called Lost Planet: Dead Space version.

I refused to play Dead Space 3 when I realized there were micro transactions... -_-

Well since those are optional then you missed out on a great game for a ridiculous reason.

Dead Space 4 on the id tech 6 engine would be nice...

I think the biggest issue I've had with the series is how they went out of their way to explain the sci-fi side of things, which cause any fear levels to drop dramatically.

Though it would have weakened the plot, when it comes to the horror aspects of a game some things are best left unexplained.

Now the even bigger problem for me is the fact that I enjoyed the unveiling of the backend sci-fi elements even though by the third game it had an obvious impact of the games scary atmosphere.

Edit: In the games short DLC ending, the game did manage to grab a hold of the mind raping elements that made Dead Space 2 quite an awesome game.

I felt certain things of the game weren't even needed. All the material gathering, gun crafting, etc really amounted to not much of anything. It just didn't feel necessary. I only ever bothered making health packs with it. Even then, they dropped a lot of those too. Suit upgrades were pretty much the only worthwhile part of their two diff upgrade stations. Even his extra abilities felt useless. Like slowing down objects. I didn't need it at all, except for those stupid climb the ice wall areas and they drop a cliff on you. Boss fights felt like they were plucked straight out of Lost Planet or Resident Evil. Kite the boss, until glowing orbs show up on their body. Shoot those orbs. Felt cheesy.

As for scariness factor, just wasn't any. They could explain things, they could not explain things. It simply wasn't all that scary, because I never felt that I was in danger. I only ever died in the game from a boss, if I didn't have enough health packs or a cliff fell on me while I was climbing up an ice wall. You also always knew when an enemy would show up. Once you walked out of a hallway like area to a somewhat open area, you knew the enemies were going to be there.

Not how I remember the game. Lots of resource gathering which is grinding and not fun, and Lara goes into auto sneak mode when I'm near an enemy, giving me a lot of time to head shot people with the bow. Tomb Raider games are known for their puzzles and I just don't see that in the game often.
