The 2016 Post Pics of your Rig Thread!

I see the Riing fans are gaining popularity! Does the memory have lighting in it or on it?
Edit: nvm. Looks like corsair dominator platinum with the led bar. Slick!

Yes and Yes, I like the Riing looks much better, quieter and great air flow.

Agreed. I have 11 of them in 120 and 140mm sizes. I run them full speed and it's quieter than my old gaming rig was with less fans. It's more of a very gentile hum then a whoosh sound.

Not as fancy as the others posted here but here's my baby!

Corsair Air 540
ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
Intel i7 6700k
32GB Corsair DDR4
Corsair H100i
EVGA 980ti SC
Crucial MX100 512GB SSD

^^ nice and clean, like it!

I am having fun with this case... I should probably have started a build thread but a lot was going on while I started this and didn't take a lot of images along the way.. I will try and refrain from using this thread as a build thread. All that being said, I'm still working on fan placement for optimal air flow and cable routes.. I'll probably rework half of this but here are a few more pics.

I'm still just sort of trying things and seeing what works best. I installed "mid-plane" fans because my 980ti was hitting 73ish and with those fans I am maxing at 67c with a 23c ambient room (maybe a little warmer). I still need my PrimoChill UV orange cable coils (coming soon) for the wc tubes, my cable combs for the sleeved cables, and to install my orange and black pci-e power leads... The UV orange SATA cables are from an old DFI LanParty mobo (x48 DK) I have... Nice to have some old LanParty parts in the build. :)

It's still a work in progress...

My old ancient, "alive and still kicking along well", rigs.

Not even sure I want to see what is going inside the wife's case these days in the old Q9650 on the third one, but she usually uses other things.

I've never been a flashy lights guy, actually have ripped most of those out of rigs.

Because UV isn't lame. Isn't quite done as I forgot to order the green 24 pin connector and I don't have my green GeLid fans yet for the cooler, but the AC Ryans look neat. I think mine came with blue LED's though because the DarkSide UV strips make them light up really well where as their built in LED's don't do anything other than emit blue light... Case is a DIYPC D780-BK. Case is pretty nice, not the best since I wish it had grommets for the cable slots and I wish it was wider, was kind of a pain to get all the cables to fit on the other side, but it has some neat features, the top vent just clicks in and out with pressure. Highly recommended for a budget builder.

Wife got me a new case, psu and an H100i v2 so I did a rebuild. The old case was a CM 690 and it was too chaotic to show here, mounted the cpu block upside down because the lines felt better that way.
I really really like this Mastercase pro 5 so easy to work in and I think it looks great. Also much quieter than my old case.

Wow, love that your wife got that for you. Mine hates my computer and all things related to it... :(

Nice! Congrats!

While not exactly an ultra-high performance gaming rig, my HTPC can still hold its own. Case and PSU fans draw air out of the case. The media cabinet where this case normally sits has slotted shelves allowing fresh air from the bottom of the cabinet. Griffin Powermate knob on front of case is orphaned without a driver in Windows 10. I haven't reconfigured the Matrix Orbital VFD since the PC's rebuild. Power DVD16 is what I use as a front end for movies. I have a Xbox wireless controller with USB receiver for Windows games. Keyboard is the basic infrared wireless Airboard that I bought umpteen years ago.

Current build is as follows:
Case Atech Fabrication 3000
CPU Intel 6600k
MoBo Asus Z170-P
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-L9x65
SSD M.2 Samsung 950 Pro 256GB NVMe
Hard Drive Seagate 2TB laptop drive ST2000LM007
RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4
Video Card MSI Geforce GTX1070 FE
PSU FSP Group AURUM 92+ Series PT-450M with replaced Noctua NF-F12 PWM fan
Case Fan Noctua NF-B9 redux PWM

This has been my favorite year of cases thus far. The trend in cases going 5.25 drive-less is one of my favorite trends in years

Just finished my first custom water cooled build.

It's a function over form build, but I still like how it turned out.

And it's hooked up to this:

Nothing super fancy, just built this after owning an AMD 1090t rig for 5+ years. It was a father and son opportunity to show him how to build a pc.

I7 4790k
MSI z87-gd65
32gb Vengeance
EVGA 1080 FTW
Asus Xonar DGX
EVGA 750P2
H100i v2
All crammed into a Corsair 450D pushing a Dell S2716DG

My son said I need some stickers to match the color theme and gave me a bunch to choose from. I just laid it on top of the PSU shroud. He just told me that he ordered some Deadpool stickers with the money he made from mowing our neighbors' yards.

Just finished my build from scratch rig for LAN gaming.

My design goals were:

1. Good looking!
2. Analog intake and exhaust fan voltage gauges.
3. Classic toggle switches.
4. Water cooling of CPU.
5. 90º MOBO rotation for uber air flow (intake fans on bottom, exhaust on top--no heat traps).
6. One cord to rule them all. No more laundry basket of components. Line power in box, with front panel toggle switch cutoff.
7. Speakers and monitor integrated on the case.
8. Power supply at the top of case, with no heat dumped inside.

COMPONENTS/SPECS

I tried to get the best components that worked with my design philosophy, while not breaking the bank. I'm always glad to hear which components you would have replaced, and why :)

ASRock Z170M Extreme4
Intel Skylake 6600K
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 (8GB X 4)
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (didn't want to half my gb/$ by getting the 950 Pro)
Aquacomputer Aqualis D5 100ml
Magicool 240 G2 Slim Radiator
Phobya UC-1 CPU Block
XSPC FLX Clear 7/16" ID 5/8" OD PVC tubing
Cooler Master Jetflo 120 (x 4)
Acer GN246HL Bbid 144Hz Monitor (24")
Corsair CX600M PSU (salvaged from previous build)
Logitech g500s mouse (salvaged from previous build)
AmazonBasics AC powered computer speakers (A150)

PICS!!!

Thanks! It needs some tweaks, like maybe a hinged frame around the plexi in the back, but it was a fun project.
Well, now that you've mentioned it, it'd definitely be over the top if you polished the aluminum plates. Makes me think of when I polished all of the aluminum on my (former) 5.7 TPI 1989 IROC-Z28. I used an Aluminum Manifold Polishing Kit from Eastwood Restoration. It'd be just a little more work.

Looks nice! That's alot of power; are you going SLI in the future?

Honestly i was thinking about it but again why when Battlefield 1 Beta Max Details 1440p runs ~120FPS :) or Doom ~140FPS same resolution.

New rig after a very long but completely stable and uninterrupted run of my Q6600 PC (10 years running 24/7). Specs in my sig.

I did a case transfer and changed a few items after my son and I built his first PC. I never really did much with my PC's in the past other than swapping in a new GPU or RAM. Building a budget PC got me interested in working on mine and now I have a whole list of upgrades waiting on money to make them, next up is a 1TB SSD to replace my RAID 1 2TB HDDs.

Started this build in May. Personally my most ambitious PC build. Got another 970 during Black Friday for SLI and tonight got around to some pretty legit cable management. Pretty proud of the results.

New guy here. Been lurking for like 10 years and finally decided to come on board. This was my first build. It started out air cooled then upgraded to liquid. Built this over a year ago.

Nice V51.. I am building in one in about a week here. I was tossed up about the V31 vs V51 but I wanted the extra room up top for the H100i V2. :)

Thanks, the case was a lot bigger than I expected for a mid. Definitely not complaining though.

Yeah, it's kind of huge for a mid. I am thinking the v31 might have been a better fit for what I wanted to do but I didn't want to risk not having the room up top for my cooling. Definitely no space issues now. ;)

I have the same case and I built my rig about a year ago and I love it. I just purchased the power cover from Thermaltake after I sent them an email for confirmation of compatibility. https://store.thermaltakeusa.com/inside03.php?a=2356
