Best Buy 50 hr sale

lol do you need a multi-quote to help you out? Same tired jokes about best buy when in reality there's tons of ways to get numerous deals and price matches, if you know what you're doing.
Just stop... You're not the enlightened consumer you think you are.

Most of your argument revolves around using the credit card to get deals or being spammed into oblivion for deals.

You are better off using better rewards credit cards and getting a better deal elsewhere 90% of the time.

Why use the stupid best buy card for rewards when I can get a better deal and use a much better rewards card with rewards I can use anywhere instead of just best buy?

Price match is awful in many stores. I have had nothing but trouble getting them to price match amazon. Even when they do is only if sold by Amazon and in stock so if it's a really good deal why would I leave my house and go fight some fucking idiot at best buy to price match when I can hit a button on Amazon, get the deal and go on with my life?

LMAO, tell me what reward credit card you have that gives 10-15% or even 7% in rewards?

Since you're obviously clueless, here's just one example of a deal you could get TODAY that would save you significant money on a high-end tech purchase like a CPU and one I've done before to get my 5930K for $425 effective price when it was $500 at MC.

1) Add a qualifying Amex card to VCO and check out with VCO for $10 off $100 online
2) Add Amex offer for $25 off $250
3) Buy $250 worth of BB Gift cards for $215 after credits and $10 VCO discount, get $5 (2%) Rewards
4) Call Best Buy and Price Match any Micro Center CPU if you have MC in your area
5) Use your Gift Card to reduce the price, and still get 5-7% on the balance of the purchase.

For something like a 5820K that would be $320, $250 ($215 spent) + $70 = $285 + tax and you get ~$10 in rewards too from the entire transaction. Please tell me where you can get a better deal on a 5820K or any CPU for that matter.

If you wanted an EVGA GTX 1070 SC you could use your charm (lol) and price match it to Newegg EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)-Newegg.com for $430, then apply the same deal or even in-store with one-time 11% back and get it for effectively $382+tax. Now please tell me where you're going to get an AIB 1070 for that little except for maybe Jet crap roll deals?

Even the 2-3x rewards are epic for big purchases that typically aren't discounted, like mobile phones. Where else are you going to be able to buy a brand new smart phone and get 10-15% back? $400 smartphone and $40-60 back in rewards that can be used to buy whatever else later.

As for never getting price match to "work" lol, maybe its just your approach? Amazon prices are easy to beat, the only time they're decent is during a lightning deal or when they're matching Best Buy or some other internet retailer which is why you can't get anyone to price match them in the first place.

Our BB won't price match Microcenter but they will price match anything on Amazon as long as its being sold BY Amazon.
The only time I've seen ppl say this is if they don't have a Micro Center near them or its an in-store only deal, which CPU prices typically are. If Micro Center is nearby or they will ship the item, it shouldn't be a problem. If in-store won't do it, online most certainly will. Never had a single problem with Price Match on Best Buy as long as its not a price mistake, the item is in-stock and pricing is currently reflected (which makes catching lightning deals hard).

Another great option for price match is they will price match discounts from places like Microsoft Store. If you know or have someone with a student ID/email, you can get 10% off stuff like Surface Pro/Book right after they launch, then stack that with a 10-15% Reward bonus (typical around BTS) for some great prices on stuff that typically does not go on sale. I got a brand new Surface Pro 3 a few years ago right at launch for my wife who was taking some CE courses, $100 off MSRP and 10% reward BTS bonus for $810+tax effective ($900 PM - $90 in rewards), it didn't hit that price point with sales for nearly a year.

Long story short, tie yourself to best buy and use very specific credit cards and offers to maybe save a couple bucks if your lucky.... I am going to stick with Amazon and not have to jump through hoops.

Short story short, stick to Amazon and think you're gettinig the best deal, when you're not lol.

The KB I bought (Corsair Strafe w/ Silent Cherry MXes) showed up today, right on time. I just checked every other retailer, and it is $139.99 and above. I paid $85 for it.
It's a pretty OK KB, too. It'll take some getting used to, so I'm going to take it into work and use it instead of my lubed NovaTouch w/ hyperspheres.

Also bought a new standing mixer for the kitchen, because why not? :) Again, I paid $200, and the closest online that I saw was $242. Right now, $272. I'll take that savings, and will gladly by from Best Buy when they actually are the best price.

Just stop, you sound like one of their corporate cheerleaders. Clearly you work for them or know someone who does. I have been shopping Best Buy since the early 90's and they have sucked the entire time. So stop being obtuse and forcing your Best Buy fanboism down everyone's throats.

No one outside of their staff would have such an intricate knowledge of their programs and how to cut every penny. I bet he's a Geek Squad member...

If that were true then you would know how much they have improved.

lol You just can't stop can you? They haven't imporved. Maybe the store YOU go to, but overall, no, they haven't improved. Their price matching policies are all over the place and their employees are still pushy potatoes who try to push you to buy their overpriced accessories or crappy extended warranties. Now once again, go cheerlead elsewhere.

That's their job. Don't hate someone for doing it. You don't have to buy their crazy accessories or warranties. Aren't you so cool calling out another retail employee working a retail job. Once you realize what making bread is you will understand people do their job to and the ones that take it seriously offer everything they have to offer cuz you never know average joe who is going to bitch in a year he wasn't offered the extended warranty and now his computer broke and it's Best Buy's fault. Trust me shit like that happens. Your choice to buy what you need and what you don't. Don't bitch at someone offering you shit that is their job to do. As far as price matches go I have never had a single issue as long as it was a legit price match, never at multiple stores. Unless you go in with an attitude like somehow you are superior to the guy price matching and go in with attitude that you bring to the forum about them. if you all are bunch of dicks and hate retail people that much I have no doubt they don't wanna price match you. I would do the same just to be a dick back.

I will say this. If Best Buy price matches for me (Usually "Sold by Amazon") then I don't have a problem going to them. Usually the store employees don't bother me much as I just let them know that I don't need any help. At the checkout, they might ask me if I want a Best Buy card, or whatever, I just say no. That's pretty common place for most places. Home Depot, Lowes, wherever. As far as extended warranties go, I don't usually buy them, but I will say this. The extended warranty I got for my car stereo back in 2004 from them, came in handy in 07. The one I got in 07 came in handy in 09 and the one I got in 09 came in handy in 2012 or 2013. Geek Squad would give me full value every single time to get a new car stereo to replace the one that went bad. I'll admit, I generally don't buy from Best Buy really all that much. Amazon FTW on being able to find what I'm looking for 98% of the time.

Retail is retail, and I'd hate to see Best Buy go out of business as not everyone has a Micro Center or a Fry's in their city. Some of us (Here in Raleigh,NC) only have Best Buy to be able to sometimes get a hands on on something before we buy it. OR for that quick elusive cable that we need.

The funny thing for the Best Buy in our area, is that it has moved twice within a mile range in the past year or so. I know the first move was due to an overpriced lease, and I'm guessing they needed a temporary location while they got in on a new location... Same building as HHGregg. lol

You want to talk about crappy stores, HH Gregg is high up there. Anyway, I'm now rambling. I'm digging the Corsair Strafe I got from the Best Buy sale.

lmfao how about you just stop posting how you can't get an advertised deal or policy to work for you and I'll just keep posting how they work great for anyone who is:

1) Not a dbag
2) Informed
3) Open-minded
4) Non-ignorant

Still waiting for all the Amazon full price fanboys to tell me how they can beat any of the deals I already detailed.

LOL.

How long have you worked for Best Buy?

There's some serious crazy going on here and agenda pushing.

Anyways, I bought a Logitech G910 last year from Amazon for 89 bucks. The Best Buy G910 was what 110 for this sale?

Double checks a tracker, yep there it is.

The Tracktor - The Tracktor - Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (920-006385)
lol another Best Buy Deal that Amazon silently price matched, was on sale for weeks around Black Friday

And the H link: Logitech g910 Orion Spark $89.99

First sign you're winning an argument when the other person has to start with personal insults. ;)
Oh because false accusation about being a Best Buy Employee isn't a personal insult huh? :D

Anyways proof is in the pudding, still waiting for you to detail better deals from Amazon, or any other retailer for that matter. Yep, winning! Stay ignorant, more deals for the rest of us! :D

You know this is trollish. Whatever you think you're doing to help your cause, it's not working and you only make Best Buy look worse for it.

nah, my time is more valuable than yours clearly as I refuse to spend my time scouring the web to save a dollar or two. Prime is convenient for me and their pricing is usually close enough I could care less. I guess if you have to watch pennies that closely you shouldn't be buying the item in the first place. And questioning you working for Best Buy when you come in here being combative and acting like a hyperbolic fanboi is not a personal insult, more like an obvious assumption.

I disagree, I am sure there are numerous who have read this and now will be more aware of possible deals they didn't think were possible before, but hey, if you want to stay ignorant and think you're getting a better deal from Amazon or anywhere else, feel free to continue thinking that.

lol who is talking pennies? Again, just because you're an ignorant consumer who pays full retail doesn't mean people who maximize their buying power aren't doing so by taking full advantage of rewards and offers.

Do you pay cash for everything? LOL managing credit card rewards too much hassle right? Because people don't "pay" for entire vacations with Rewards cards right? :D
