I'm looking for an application on Windows (preferred, or Linux if necessary) that would allow me to proxy a URL through it. HTTPS/SSL is a must.

For instance, if I'm not home, I'd like to have something running where I can run loop a URL link through my home cable securely and have it use that firewall. I would of course have to present it as a public facing application from my home firewall, hence the reason I want it secure and password protected.

So instead of it showing my current circuit's IP address of wherever I am, it would show me from home. I could always VPN into home, but was looking for something more interactive I could do from anywhere and from any PC.

eg.
I want [H]ard|Forum

I would actually put in https://myhome.dyndns.org/blah-blah...le-does-their-tracking-crap/www.hardforum.com

Is that possible?

Everything is possible.

I'd use HAProxy. It's the best thing since sliced bread for HTTP(S) wizardry.

Hmm. Looked it over. Not sure where to start. What's the best forum to join for these kind of questions?
