How many of XBONER owners are going for the S model. I am seriously considering it. Might cost me nothing out of pocket since I have about 200 dollars worth of credit at the Virgin Megastore here in UAE. What about the US peeps? Rest of the world?

US. Have the Gears 4 Edition on preorder.

I have the 2TB launch edition preordered to replace my original xbox one launch edition. Ordering it mainly for the upgrade in internal storage and the fact the power supply is internal and universal.

I like the controller. Will probably get one for my PC. I couldn't possibly be less interested in the system, though. Outside of using it as a voice activated cable box I don't think any system I've ever owned has gotten less use.

I was going to, but I can't justify the out of pocket price. I only wanted it for the 4K Blu Rays but there aren't enough out there that I really want to buy. Besides, with Scorpio coming out end of next year I don't think it's worth it.

I'm on the fence. I'm waiting to see some benchmarks on how fast the loading times are on the internal drive. If the internal drive is still significantly slower I'll just get the 500GB and continue to use my external for games.

I'm interested in the controller but that's about it. I did want an Xbone when it was released just to play Forza but never got around to buying it. Now they have Forza and are planning on releasing most of their Xbone stuff in the Windows store so I don't see a point to buying an Xbone for myself.

If I was to buy a console it would be a Nintendo system as the games aren't available on pc. But then again there's emulators..

I already have an Xbox One, but I'm debating getting one. If I do I'll give my current one to my younger brother, who is still on the 360.

If the new controller is in fact more rugged than the original then I'll buy one of those. The actual console does nothing my original one can't do that I use it for. No 4k tv, so 4k blu-ray isn't a selling point for me.

Scorpio however, that I could buy into

I ended up ordering one, even though I never use my Xbox One to begin with. I was hoping that it would be able to replace my Samsung UBD‑K8500, but then I found out it only has one HDMI out and doesn't support Dolby Atmos nor DTS:X. I really hate the remote of the Samsung player. I should probably cancel it, but I'll probably just give my Xbox One to someone else, and I ended up preordering the Panasonic UHD player.

I really want the new FF game, it says it's coming to PS and Xbone but the word on the street is PS Neo is going to hit before the end of the year....really want to play FFXV in 4k.

So anyone own the system yet? Reviews? Is there any speed improvement whilst installing games?

TLDR:
Slightly faster (negligible in most cases)
Quite a bit less power
4K Blu-Ray support as well as HDR
A bit louder

I'm in for one. I just purchased a 4k TV and I'm regifting my old one to my best friend for his bday.

Hell no. Jacked up price, mediocre improvements, Scorpio on the Horizon, and it's biggest problem, it's still an Xbox One. The Super cheap sale prices on the current model are a little enticing, but there's maybe one or two games I'd even play on it.

Question. My receiver doesn't support HDR. I'm looking for some way to split the video signal directly to the television while the audio goes to the receiver. I want 7.1 rather than using ARC or optical. I heard devices like HD Fury Integral might be able to do something like this?

Maybe something like this: Amazon.com: AV Access HDMI Splitter 1x4 4K 60Hz HDMI2.0 with HDR, HDCP2.2, Signal Repeats 10M(33ft) EDID ,Automatic Input Cable Equalization: Home Audio & Theater

While I like what they did with the hardware and I am tempted by it, I could not justify it.
With Scorpio on the horizon why would anyone? I mean, if you were ready to buy a XB1 then yeah, but otherwise...
But Microsoft seems to have done a great job with the hardware. Even though I am a PS4 guy I find myself wanting it.

I use my existing Xbox One's daily just as the HDMI pass through for Media Streaming apps, Plex, as well as gaming so this upgrade made sense as I recently switched out all my TV's for new 4K HDR10 TV's. So far so good 4K HDR content on Netflix looks amazing.

I got it, my only real complaint about it is its white. I would've preferred black as all my other components are black. Beyond that its nice, at the moment everything feels quick and snappy. On my day one XB1 the past few builds the UI has been very sluggish and slow to respond.

I don't know if you got the S before this week, but the latest dashboard update they rolled out has made the UI very responsive on my... fat Boner. So it could be the update and not the console, itself. I don't think the internal HDD is fast enough to take advantage of the upgrade from SATA2 to SATA3, either.

I have a 500GB on order. I've been wanting to pick up a UHD BD player and this is cheaper than the only other two on the market. I am really hoping that Microsoft patches in bitstream audio for Atmos support, but its probably a year or two away before I even have an Atmos setup. By then, hopefully there will be a lot more options available to me if it never comes to XB1.

I cannot justify it unfortunately. The GTX 980 Ti I have in my PC is reeling me back in. It would be a waste of money if I didn't game on the $600 GPU. It's a dilemma. I haven't even touched my Xbox One in months. Not only that, PC games support both kb/m and controllers whereas console games only support controllers. Although, I may get the bluetooth-supported controllers.

A stupid question. How do I backup my saves on the XBOX ONE? I can't seem to locate the option and every post I see is from 2014 that states saves are auto backed on to the cloud but I don't see a setting for cloud etc. either. What up?

It's supposed to do it all automagically, so when you sign into the new console and launch the same game, it'll pull the save down from the xbox cloud. Did you already transfer your installed games over? I'm still waiting for my S to get delivered, hopefully it'll make it through the Post Office by the end of next week.

I am definitely getting the Scorpio. The idea of having a much faster Xbox One is really appealing to me. The whole UI just seem sluggish to me and I would love a faster zippier version of the Xbox One. Between snapping apps, and starting things like Twitch is just nightmarish. Above all I hope the UI is drastically faster in the Scorpio. All the performances tests i've seen show no performance worth the cost.

Just bought the 1TB spring bundle a few weeks ago.

Have no interest in upgrading for what looks like a minimal impact, especially with how excruciating this UI is with responsiveness and speed. I'm sticking with my 1080p TV until it breaks, so the 4k capability isn't really pushing me in that direction.

When you start the game on the new console it will sync to the cloud and download the save.

The UI feels snappier on the Xbox One S. But I was planning on getting another Xbox One for my kids so getting instead I got myself an Xbox One S and gave them my old one. I do notice load times seem to be much faster on the internal hard drive of the Xbox One S compared to the original. It seems to be as fast as the external so now I'm able to ditch the external hard drive now. Unless you have a 4k TV and or plan on watching 4k blu rays its probably better to wait on the scorpio. I do plan on getting a 4k TV in the next few weeks so the Xbox one S is going to the best option for me when it comes to that.

I have to think the CPU of the scorpio is going to be based on zen architecture so its gonna have a huge improvement on the IPC even if the the clock speed isn't increased. Even though personally I think the clock speed is going to be higher then the current 1.75GHz. I think that makes the UI and all the features faster and snappier. I just hope the internal drive can be replaced or they put the OS in flash memory.

I got my Xbox One S 2TB on launch day. It's super nice and quiet IDGAF what the reviews say it's quiet. I have 2 day one systems that if you listen up close have a tiny tick that the PMW fan generates and the external bricks have fan noise. This has NONE of that. i use my external Raid 0 on my One S that i used on my launch system. It's faster it is easily noticed. OS is snappier and some games i've played it's easy to see better pacing in frame rates.

UHD movies are amazing.

I agree totally. I got it on launch day and its been sitting about a foot away from me near my PC because I'm doing my HT setup. I've played a few games and I haven't heard the fan yet. Its way quieter then the PS4 by a mile. Are saying the internal drive load times are faster then your external? I haven't timed it but for the games I've tried the loading seem just as fast as the internal for me.

My only real complaint is I would've liked it to have been black and have the kinect port because I do like the kinect for redeeming codes because I'm lazy lol. But if they implement a barcode scanner into the smartglass app then I'll be fine with no kinect anymore lol. I do like the feel of the controller, my hands get sweaty so the textured grips are nice.
