While most of us spend our free time turning beer into urine, scientists at a Belgian university are doing the opposite. The solar powered machine actually turns urine into drinkable water and fertilizer, which could then be used to make beer. Think about that for a minute, that would turn you into a perpetual beer making machine. :D

That's because scientists at a Belgian university have created a machine that turns urine into drinkable water and fertilizer. A machine like this could bring drinkable water to rural areas of the world that don't already have access to clean water, or could be installed in public places like airports, researcher Sebastiaan Derese told Reuters.

thought that natty light already was?

:D You're quick. I think a dozen people were thinking the same thing and wanted to post it. You win. :)

Not too long ago, there was a beer from Poland that used female juices as part of the beer making process. Polish company to brew beer from Czech model's vagina bacteria

I think it'd work great for plants and fertilizer and stuff. Drinking water? If you didn't know, sure. Once you found out where it came from, it'd be harder to drink. If I was desperate, I would. Otherwise, I'd probably pass. I've worked in waste water treatment. We put out some clean water. I still wouldn't drink it (although, most water is pee, many times filtered and diluted with other pee water). Still, it'd be hard to swallow that close to the process....

Bottled Instinct. Because Instinct is corrosive to cans.

Bottled Instink. Czech it out.

Bottled Instinct. To women, from women.

Bottled Instinct. Goes down well.

Bottled Instinct. Wee did it. (added 29.7)

Another version:

Next up, university gets funding and students get credit for research into portable methane as a means of renewable energy:

Any brewery that uses municipal water sources, which is practically all of them, are essentially using converted/filtered/treated urine in thier beers.

What, people think sewage is just being dumped into the ocean/creeks/rivers? Waste water, i. e. piss, is reclaimed and redistributed into the drinking water systems.

cannot be unseen. O.O

All my water comes from the tears of angels that have witnessed the drinking of natty lite.

Typically not entirely true. Most true sewage water is not turned directly into potable water. It's treated, filtered, chlorinated and THEN discharged into water bodies or piped for use as "reclaim" water used for irrigation, toilet flushing, industrial processes, NOT drinking.

I heard the other day on the radio that the next "superfood" is cockroach milk. Yep. Milk from cockroaches. I'm trying to decide if I'd rather drink roach milk or the pisswasser in the article.

I wonder how much it pays to lay around and milk roach tits?

Every drop of water on the planet was at some point the urine of some organism. moose piss, whale piss, crab piss, pterodactyl piss, frog piss, spider piss. Whatever. We don't drink beer because it tastes so good. We drink it to get intoxicated. Start at 0:33.

The places I've worked and visited in the past put all their effluent into the rivers, lakes, ocean. Some of the water sources were in the same body of water, so it's not that far off.
