Can't make up my mind!!

I originally bought 2 1080s to replace my 980 sli and tried just 1 1080 last night (zotac 1080 amp! Edition) and it's awesome.. so awesome I kinda don't think I need sli.. but did buy 2 for the future games..

Now I discover vr which I ignored it in the past and now I'm at a fork in the road..

Idon't love to grab the HTC Vive but I'd have to exchange get out the other 1080 and power supply (I now won't need just runing one card).

Is vr totally worth it?

Honestly if you spend that much money on SLi i think the better option will be new Titan X, that's what i will do sell my 1080 SLi and go single card first time since 3dfx SLi, single GPU that is.

Might.. though Im sure 1080 sli is faster. Though yeah if I want one card that would be it.

I see you game at 1440p, single 1080 is fine unless you're one of those weirdos who need 100+ fps in every game :)
I would've gotten HTC Vive. That's more fun that another of what you already have.

Keep one 1080. Return the other an get a 32" or bigger 4k monitor. That's what I would do anyway.

My rog swift does 164 fps and with 2 1080s I'm hitting it with Max settings in battlefield 4 and doom.. Titanfall is close around 130-140s. This is awesome.

Also in battlefield 4 and Titan fall I'm playing in 4k using that dsr (or whatever the option is called) in the Nvidia control panel and selecting 4k res in the games. Then it's playing around 100-120 fps.

No money atm for a new 4k monitor.. though I could carry my rig 2 floors upstairs and try it out on my Sony 75" 940c uhd tv but it's quite warm up there in the summer. Maybe in the winter time.

I'm real happy with my 27" 1440 monitor right now. It's still new to me as I just exchanged it a few months ago under warranty from microcenter. The old model I had started acting up with the screen shaking. Newer 164htz model for free!
