Xeon ES CPUs?

Something something "stolen Intel property" something something

I'm using that chip myself in a single socket board (and i love it). Not sure how many things you'd need more than 24 threads for though. You'd be better off trying a single chip first before paying $500+ for that motherboard and see if it works for your usage especially if you are going the ES route.

Extra Spicy is always in a bit of a world of its own.

Some have been substandard performance in the past even from things posted here and there.

Never have used any myself.

I've built several, your best bet for a board that will work with ES chips is asus, there are other boards than the Z10PE-D8 WS but this is the most fully featured, for an alternative , more server orientated and slightly cheaper board try the Asus Z10PA-D8. Do not email Asus and ask them to support an unsupported ES CPU, you won't get very far. Just because the chip isn't on the supported list, doesn't mean it won't work, I have 2 pairs of E5-2692 V2 ES cpu's which are "unsupported" and they have worked just fine in a Z9PA-D8 and Z9PE-D16
