No Man's Sky go GOLD!!!

Ok. I will put my nuts out there to get stomped.

Steam page says Single Player. Good.

I say it seems to tug at the part of my soul that likes the parts of adventure games where I can just go & go & go. Borderlands, Fallout(s), Skyrim(s). Farcry(s), etc have those places where you can just travel around and explore. But you always run into the edge of the world and after a while the game becomes repetitive. This seems to me to not have that limitation and it appeals to that wanderer in me that sometimes just likes to explore and not trying to kill shit all the time no matter where you go.

I look forward to reviews and maybe trying it out.

I suppose this will appeal to people who like solo grinding and exploring. I just don't think it will be the awesome adventure that we were all hoping for.
HOWEVER, I will get it.

While I have my concerns I also have my hopes that it will appeal to my introverted nature.

What exactly were you hoping for? From everything I've read over the last couple of weeks, they've been pretty upfront with what this game actually is. So I'm not sure why people are expecting so much more, like yourself.
 
I preordered because I think it's a game worth praising for trying. It looks amazing and the fact that they want to do DLC's as freebie addons is icing on the cake. Might it get boring? Yes. Might it end up being weirder that we expect? Yes. Is it worth the price of a cheap date? Yes.
 
I hope not, but I highly suspect it's going to be something where you go to a few planets, you start to see similar-looking creatures / landmasses / etc. and then it becomes boring.

I just can't imagine the variety for HUNDREDS of planets being unique enough to be intriguing.
