Wondering if there are any decent mATX cases that will fit a 980 GTX without too much trouble or any modifications.

Almost all of them should have no problem fitting a 980. What cases are you looking at right now?

N200 is hands down the best budget mATX case. Lots of cooling potential for that little fella... if you can live with its non-symmetrical face.

Every single case we make supports a full length double slot graphics card, so it should just be a question of form factor and style should you choose to shop our catalog:
fractal design, Fractal Design, Computer Cases, Computer Cases, Components - Newegg.com

Since I have you here....do any of your NODE line of cases have issues with mobos that have the SATA ports on the side that are parallel with the board face? Since I can only use 1 set of right angled connectors per 2 stack port I was wondering if there's clearance issues with straight connectors.

Corsair Air 240 is also great if you're not looking to run a ton of 3.5" storage and looking to really maximize cooling capability.

Done a ton of builds in the N200. Great case for the price. Only complaints is a lack of space behind the mobo tray for hiding wires (but what can you expect for that price).

Right angle SATA ports can cause conflicts in the Node 304, but the Node 605 and Node 804 should have no issues.
