Street Fighter V - Collector's Edition - PlayStation 4 is $45 @Amazon

Have to ask Domingo . There is a big patch coming Friday I believe that unlocks Story Mode and a new character. But best for someone else to chime in as I'm not that knowledgeable about the game.

2 new characters (Ibuki and Balrog) a couple new stages, changes to matchmaking, and the new supposedly multi-hour story mode. If the price is going to last I'd recommend waiting until after the patch is out Friday before pulling the trigger on this. That's what I'm doing for the PC version.

Someone keep us posted! Sale ends July 4 ! If it's worth the price tag of 40!

I preordered the normal digital version before launch through one of those shady cd key websites for around $40, and at the moment I have 123 hours logged on it. Just under 3 of those hours are the new story mode in full. I think the game is fun, but the patch isn't a HUGE amount of new content.

Its value will be mostly in how much you like Street Fighter and the amount of entertainment you'll find playing matches online. Lots of fighting games out there to pick from right now.

Derangel are you still waiting or you bought it? Waiting for responses on the latest patch if someone can comment would appreciate it
Jinxyboi to have logged in 123 hours I think got your moneys worth! Also what cd key site did you use I hear they don't work but maybe that's not the case?

I've played all the previous Street Fighter games a lot and I just can't get in to V. It just feels, less balanced and tactical than IV and I don't like most of the characters. It's like they picked almost entirely characters I don't care about to bring back and most of the new characters are just terrible. Add that to the fact that the online match system is so slow you basically have to have something to do while you wait for it to connect I find it really difficult to play. Mostly I just feel like I'd rather play IV. Kinda the way I feel about Marvel Vs Capcom 3, which is a bit of a mess.

I bought mine through Fun Stock Digital (not sure if mentioning these sites is allowed here) and it's still just under $40 there. I definitely played enough to say I got my money's worth, but I will agree that most peoples' grievances with the game are valid, especially if they compare SF5 to Ultra SFIV.

I'd say I like the game a lot because I'm pretty casual, I enjoy the new characters and I haven't really been into a Street Fighter game since SF4 Vanilla, then the Alphas before that. That said, I agree with Quix that Capcom needs to work on the netcode among other things, but the game really needs a time limited online multiplayer demo for prospective players to see if they'd enjoy it or not.

Either way, the game's only going to continue getting much cheaper after EVO passes as the patch hasn't completely absolved Capcom of their sins, so if you're not too interested now, it'll get more attractive over time (if it isn't soon outshined by KOF, GuiltyGear or Tekken anyway).

So it might get cheaper than 40? Or will that be the cheapest it will reach all summer? I notice a seller on ebay was selling for 29 but not sure how reliable ebay seller's are:Street Fighter V [Steam] [PC] [US]
How reliable are these sites : Street Fighter V STEAM CD-KEY GLOBAL - G2A - Global Digital Gaming Marketplace

Delivery Method:

We provide two methods to activate the game:
  1. You send us your steam account name and password, we log with your account and activate game. We promise that, we don’t take or use anything of your account. You can also make a new steam account and we activate the game on it.
  2. we make a new steam account and activate the game on it, then we send account name, password and email data to you, you can change all data and it’s belong to you in the future."
For Sure DO NOT use that eBay seller.

I've never used G2A, but its "Marketplace" looks like a collection of private sellers as well, so reliable isn't the first word that comes to mind.

I think SF5 will be easy to find at 40 dollars from here out through normal websites (honestly surprised some are still trying to push it at 60), but I don't expect it to drop further till fall.

I see didn't look trust worthy either. 60 is Def over priced hopefully stays@40

I did not pick it up. Decided I didn't want to spend $40 on one game during the Steam sale when I had so many things on my wishlist that I wanted more that cost significantly less.

I see I was just about to order and the price changed to 60 lol canceled my order its to much at 60..if it drops to 40 or less I will pick it up. My back log is huge so need to work on that first
