480s Shipping Status

Question for those who bought 480s last night from Amazon or from Newegg this morning - curious if anyone got shipping notifications yet?

A co-worker ordered 2 from Amazon last night and I ordered from Newegg this morning - both are still in "packaging" states.
 
I went to order one from Newegg this morning but it said it wouldn't be here till the 7th with 2 day shipping so I'm waiting for Amazon to get more stock in.

It said this Friday for me doing the 3 day shipping at ~9:02AM EST (it's coming from NJ according to the Order History).
 
I have seen some say that their order remains in shipping/packaging status for a time before they eventually get the awaiting stock notification. Obviously hoping this isn't the case for anyone with the 480.
 
Mines been sitting at "packaging" all day. Ordered around 9:30a.

Hope it ships soon. :(
 
Just checked again - still "Packaging" for me. Guess they ran out of packing materials wrapping all of our cards one bubble at a time? :)

Granted, I ordered an HDMI/DVI cable with mine to, maybe that's what's taking so long.
 
I've received my gear from the mail while it still says packaging on their site lol

This is utter bullshit since I paid $22 for 2nd day shipping.
 
Gez I wish they would have made that more clear - definitely glad I didn't pay for 1 day shipping too.

Bess G.: We have offered the information in the shopping cart and order confirmation email. You may check it. I could try to cancel the order if you would like. All the orders will be delayed. For our Canada orders, it will not shipped until 7/4 which is later.
 
Never received such email or notifications. They refunded me my 2 day shipping. I won't be playing with the cards this weekend. Thanks Newegg.

I guess that will give me more time to decide what I want to do with these cards. Keep or sell them.
 
You guys should have looked. I ordered my system parts today and I was bummed that they won't ship any parts today because of inventory, I saw it before I submitted my order but I was like whatever. What a stupid way of holding up order I have never seen anyone hold up orders because of inventory. It says in small letters right when you review order before you hit submit.

Kinda shady, because I bet it said that you guys couldn't even tell because it was written in small letters next to shipping. I bet if they put the notice up on the main page they wouldn't make any sales for two days. LOL

here is to hoping that happened to my parts lol. May be chain of command doesn't follow inventory rules lol.

Well fuck, I ordered with 2 day shipping as well. Was hoping to have it before the weekend.. probably have it next monday at this rate.

Guess I'll just mess around with my 98/DOS rig for the weekend. Grabbed a Voodoo 1 off ebay, should have it by Friday. If not oh well, I got my S3 Virge yesterday.
 
I guess I got lucky. Ordered my rx 480 at 9:30 and got a shipped notice from Newegg at 4:30. Checked Fedex and since Iive in SoCal I should receive it by 6/30 end of day. Only chose standard shipping.
 
maybe inventory was conducted at some warehouses hence CA orders getting shipped.

That's what it's looking like. Just terrible timing, but at the end of the day these aren't going in my main rig and I only really wanted to get them to put them under water and the waterblocks from EK aren't even coming out until the 8th.
 
I ordered mine at 6.15 AM and got next day shipping and tracked it today and will be arriving today. I will have 2 of them in hand by the end of the day today if anyone is curious I can run any benchmarks that you guys want just PM me.
 
Mine's shipped as well. Tracking info doesn't show anything though.

I wonder if there's a chance it'll come from Jersey to Maryland and be delivered tomorrow. That would be a nice surprise for the long weekend.
 
Considering just canceling it and getting something else. With the power draw issues and newegg supposedly doing an "inventory" which has really screwed the pooch on getting the damn thing on time, I'm losing interest.
 
Newegg emailed me. Stated the whole "inventory" stuff, refunded my shipping and said it would ship today.. so we'll see.
