Has anyone updated to marshmallow? I recently did and noticed several features I often used gone...first the power saving mode is changed and does not turn your screen grey anymore to save battery life. Also I often used power saving mode when I wanted to quickly charge my phone (this would charge the phone much faster than not having it on)and this feature is also gone! Another feature gone is being able to quickly preview a text in the notifications bar without going to the text..if anyone can help please lmk

Don't have answers, but just noticed (due to your post) that the gray screen option is now missing. Didn't use it much, but was nice to have. S5 in verizon here, overall have been pleased with the marshmallow update that came down last week. But yes, lost some options. I noticed that under application manager, there is now less options available.

Well whenever you used gray scale mode it made the phone charge allot faster and not having the color screen also helped a Tom room with battery life in certain situations. I also noticed you cannot force close applications anymore by holding down and pressing the little I icon but now you must go to applications and find the app you want to force close..

Another issue I'm having is that all my music and video files have to be opened individually instead of being in a large list...Also I cannot use the app but have to go thru the sd card folder top open each file one by one...this is very annoying..is there a way to fix this?

The text preview is a privacy thing. You may need to look in settings/options to allow all information to be shown for notifications.

Does anyone know why I can't access my videos/ music on my sd card thru the Samsung stock video and music player? It only allows me to access files on the actual phones storage but not on the sd card. I remember reading somewhere that MM treats the sd card differently from lolipop but The only way to access files is to manually go into the sd card and open each file...

I noticed that it changed the name and file path of the SD card. I use MortPlayer for my Audiobooks and it 'lost' my Audiobook folder on the SD card due to this following the update. I just had to go into the settings and redirect it to the new sd card file path.

Might be something that helps.

Che how did you change the file path? For me it said my sd card is corrupt! Yet The sd card worked perfectly fine on a card reader via my pc but in my phone it kept saying corrupt...I just moved all my files onto the pc,formatted and moved everything back again..fixed the problem
