Homefront: The Revolution (aka Homefront 2)

I don't know. I watched AngryJoe stream the new Homefront last week and it looked pretty good to me, so I actually bought it. I'm going to start downloading it tonight after work and maybe get some play time this weekend.

This game is... eh, not bad. Maxed out the Cry Engine graphics look really nice. A lot of this has a "been there, done that" feel to it. The story isn't Shakespeare but it doesn't have to be for what this is. I agree with the idea that another 6-12 months of development on this could have yielded something special. As it stands? I'd probably give a 7/10 thereabouts. Glad I didn't pay more than $30 for it. (I had a bunch of GMG credit)

I couldn't even play it. Was getting crashes left and right before I could even get control of my character for the first time. Going to give it one more shot, otherwise I am going to get a refund.
Is there MP?
There is a coop mode, but it is separate from the campaign.

I havent played it yet, its gonna sound dumb but I'm getting it this weekend partially for political reasons. 1. I support Deep Silver because for the most part they're one of the last hold out of AAA publishers that aren't complete scum 2. I was completely disgusted with gamespots review. This got hammered by them. They stated the story and worldbuilding were amazing, but the buggy gameplay killed the score, which is you know funny because you lauded assassins creed unity and Batman Arkam knight both of which were so buggy public apologies were made.

All that said I really fell in love with Homefronts storyline, if the game had been longer and the multiplayer better supported it would have been fine. I wanna give this one a shot.

I'd say a 7 is about right. It's a pretty blatant ripoff of FarCry 3/4 in some ways, but it's not terrible. Maybe a "What could have been" if they hadn't had so much turmoil dev-wise. It will be interesting to see if the 3 planned DLCs actually happen: Homefront: The Revolution 'expansion pass' includes three single-player DLC packs | PC Gamer

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. The game never cracked he Steam top seller's list and I doubt it's done amazing on consoles either. I have no clue why Deep Silver picked up this game. It just seems like such a giant waste of money.

I've heard this from a lot of people. It actually sounds REALLY good to me. I think I'll get it when it gets below $30.
