With them touting their 1070 as a Titan & 980 Ti beater for less than $400, this card is much less tempting. $400 and I'd buy it right away.
Yep, and the used market should be around $300.00 now... even less in a month or so.
If the 1070 really beats a Titan X for $380, 980 Ti and TX prices will go to the dumpster in a hurry
I just got a heck of a deal on 4 watercooled 780 ti's 2 weeks ago, doesn't look as good now.

Yike, you bought 4x card that were already a generation old right before a new product launch? Hopefully not to use with that Athlon CPU
The 1070 is not going to be faster than the 980 ti. Even the 1080 is only going to be about 20-25% faster than the 980 Ti in most cases. I am referring to normal gaming not VR.
and? Again I'm talking about the performance in actual games.
if the 1070 out performs the 980ti... jesus
Based on the quoted memory bandwidth and FP numbers, it should beat it by a little bit. Even if it's slightly slower, it sill horribly devalues what was once a near top-end card.
I'm not sure if I'm going to buy a 1070 or 1080, it really depends if I think the performance increase is worth the cost increase. All I really want is to play games on ultra at 1080p so I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with either of these, or even a 970.
I bought the MSI 580ti along with a copy of The Division for $530 a few weeks ago. Still don't regret it. I've got a good card that will last me a long while and a game that's worth the single player play through.
I actually hope he meant the 980Ti.Did you mean 780 ti? I would doubt you'd go from a 670 in your sig to a 580, also it looks like little to no support for that card in DX 12, so I hope you typo'd.
I bought a 780 SC 6 GB for a great price on eBay, works for me, although I wish NVidia would support it better with drivers. It's still quite a bit of power, runs basically everything I've thrown at it at 1080, I'm not pushing 4K yet, next upgrade I will.
I actually hope he meant the 980Ti.
I'm all for the best bang for the buck. The individual posted they spent 530 on the card so I'm just assuming it was for that and not a previous gen card.I see what you did there With these prices and new cards, anyone burned should learn quickly to watch all tech sites for when new stuff comes out! It's amazing what even a few hours can save you! I like to go not so bleeding edge it bleeds my wallet dry!

I've had good luck finding quality used cards on eBay. x80's from the last gen at about that price, usually a bit lower. New for that price would be hot as Hades, keep those lids peeled, you may see it.I'd buy them for $300 at the moment. XD
