You can now stream PlayStation 4 games to your Windows PC or Mac

I thought remote play was already available while back, close to when microsoft made it available?

Tried this out earlier with some Uncharted and it worked really well. I wish it wasn't limited to 720p but it does help it run nice and smooth.

Just to a PS Vita, PSTV, or a handful of TVs with remote play built in.

Sorry can't see the link that the OP posted (block at work), but how are you connected? Are you connected directly to PC or your using WIFI? I ask because I have a PS TV and I tried the remote play through WIFI, and it was horrible. I could not even play anything on it. It lag so much that I did not even bother and that's with the PS TV in the same room as the router, let alone moving the PS TV on a different room in the house.

My PC is directly connected to my router via Cat6 and the PS4 is over WiFi two rooms away.

I might have to try that then. Thanks.. The PS TV is a good little system but for streaming it sucks.

I tried it and controls were responsive but I have a 1440p monitor so the 720p window looks small and when going fullscreen it's like I'm watching a 720p YouTube video fullscreen on a 1440p monitor. Not bad if you don't have access to the machine, but it would be nice if there were more quality options. I watched the bandwidth reported by Task Manager and it wasn't using more than 10Mbps. Audio also seems limited to stereo.

Too bad it's only 720p. Although most games don't run at 1080 anyway. I for one hate playing in front of the tv, so streaming to my desktop PC is much better option. I might even get a PS4 before long.

I don't really see the point to this. My 360 is hooked up to a 50" HDTV, why would I want to play on a smaller screen at a lower res?
It would be cool to go the other way, stream your PC games to the PS4 and play on the big screen.

Why not just hook the PS4 up to your PC monitor?

I have to try this feature. I've tried streaming my PS4 to my Vita and PS TV and both are terrible. They disconnect constantly even if I'm using the same router.

Scenario A: Spouse is watching TV where your PS4 is hooked up.
Scenario B: On a trip and you have your laptop and your DS4 controller

et cetera...

I have my 51 tv about 5 feet from my desktop. I hate using it. I even watch movies on the PC sitting at my desk. The main reason is that I do a lot of multitasking.

Just tried it out. Was impressed with the responsiveness. I couldn't really tell of any input lag.
Going to do some long distance experimenting with my laptop.

I use this feature a lot for my xbox one, my kids can watch tv or play the wii so it lets me use my xbox one still, now that PS4 supports this I can do the same with that when they play skylanders or Minecraft on my xbox one. And you can stream to your tv, get a steam link or an htpc. I have an htpc and it works great for streaming games to my projector

Its definitely playable on the LAN, but the quality is reduced. Not a permanent playing method IMO, but good when the spouse wants to watch his/her shows on the main tv.

I'll have to try this out, but I doubt I'll use it on a regular basis.

I like it except for a couple things -
If you change framerate to 'high' it turns off gameplay recording on your console. I noticed a difference when doing standard vs high so this kind of sucks.
Limited to 720p. Full screening this on my 2k monitor makes things a little blurry. Wish it went up to 1080p.
Can't use it to watch playstation VUE :(

Does scenario B even work with the PC or OSX app? I know it does for the PSTV. I have doubts that the application works outside of your network
