I have an old - nearly 8 years old - ThinkPad T60p that is an absolute workhorse. It's machine type 2008-8LU with upgraded 500 gig spinny drive, 4 GB of RAM (but system sees only 3 due to chipset limitations) and an upgraded Intel Core2Duo T7400 proc.

It's in decent shape; screen is great and 9 cell battery holds decent charge. I cleaned it fairly well (used to be my sisters during her high school years tho it primarily sat on her desk) so it runs nice quiet and smooth.

Please note that it will not come with any operating system - I'll be wiping the HD clean. However it does come with a Windows XP COA sticker (hah!). Could make an excellent track/logging/VCDS workstation. Charger included!

Asking for $135 shipped from 95035; local pickup in the CA Bay Area is available as well! Shoot me a PM if interested.. heatware is under vanfanel89.

Thanks!

Bump for an unbreakable laptop!

I have several T60's and it's little brother, the X61.

They make great "lounge" laptops and would be perfect for a student/older parent etc.

This is one of the best laptops ever sold. The screen is a beautiful IPS type. I have 2 of these that I hate to part with. It does have the key illumination light that shines on the keys. Someone was asking.

Ohh - yes; I thought they meant backlit keyboard... it does not have backlit but it does have the little LED that sits over the screen.

Oh and bump!

I still use my T60 daily (widescreen version though) thing refuses to die...

I would love to take this off your hand (looking for a cheap laptop for my mother), but the trackpad seems just a bit too small.

It's not the biggest trackpad but it does get the job done. However, I'd probably just use a USB mouse for convenience sake...

I'm writing this from my own T60p. I can't believe a 9 yr old laptop works this well... I have to upgrade to Win 10 soon, though, since Dropbox is refusing to support XP.
