MSI GeForce GTX 980TI GAMING 6G GOLDEN EDITION 560 shipped

Nice card -- was tempted to pick one up to hold me over till Mid range pascal comes out... decided not to. I think it's hilarious newegg via ebay is selling it 110 cheaper than newegg itself. I'm sure we will see these sub-500 980ti QUITE soon.

I even saw someone selling a nice 980ti used on here for Just south of $500 a few days ago... that was freaking temping as fuck right there. Since I buy video cards for the long haul, warranty (or at least warranty transfer-ability) is important to me. Latest rumor all over reddit and other places online is that we might get a peep at the 1080/1070 cards here by the middle of may. Damn juicy rumors. Since I've already allocated the money aside, it will be nice as hell the day I do order, hah not even blinking an eye when I click "submit" for what will likely be a 600+ dollar order

I'm still running 680s in sli st 1440p. The wait is killing me. Have some newegg gift cards just waiting to be spent :)

I'm wondering with these prices and the fact nvidia has stated they are no longer making chips for the 900 series is it worth it to buy now and then upgrade when volta?

Personal choice I'd say. Once we actually see the new cards I bet were south of 500 on the 980 TI.

Already saw one 980ti (a nice one) being sold for sub-500 here earlier in the week. Once Pascal hits and if it's a home run for nvidia, I'd say it's a race to 400. Really depends on where the 1070 falls price/performance wise. Since most of the high end enthusiast level hardware gets sold off because us nerds want the latest and greatest, I would predict a rather quick fall in prices once they announce or we start seeing reviews.

I have a big gaping hole in my main rig just waiting for an x80 (1080) whatever the hell they call it.

Well, if I time it right, I can pick up a second 980 Ti at a good price for 4k sli action. I decided to wait though and returned the card I did buy a few days ago because, $570 is still to rich for me as a second card that I will not use really often.

I decided to bite on this, for a new card I feel like it's a good deal. I'm currently using a 760GTX, and just upgraded to a 1440p monitor.

I know the copper one runs a bit on the hot side thanks to the review here, but I don't see myself pushing it any past stock. This set-up should keep me until 1080Ti/4k OLED monitors are matured and reduced to somewhat reasonable prices.
