Mushkhin Enhanced ECO3 480GB SD at NewEgg $98

The ECO3 is a rebadged version of the Triactor, search online for reviews. I bought one of these a few weeks ago for about this price and it's been great. I think it's a good deal at this price.

TLC, nothing fantastic, but more than enough as a games drive IMO. Thanks!

Probably not the greatest drive in the world, but it would probably make a solid drive to throw your games on or something. If I didn't just have a ton of unexpected stuff pop up, I'd probably bite.

Thanks everyone. I read the NewEgg review, 4 of the reviews said this SSD is unreliable. Wanted real-life users feedback, if any. I know sometimes it is the luck of the draw.

Yeah, the ECO3 is basically a slightly better version of the Triactor customized only for Newegg. It uses the same controller and NAND modules, but it specced with more DRAM.

How often are people really getting bad drives? Just wondering since after going with Ssds, I have yet to run into a bad unit. Or are the odds just way better then hdds

I have about 8 SSDs, and am 0-2 on refurbs failing - one a Corsair Nova from MC (lasted a little over a yr) and a Crucial M4 (lasted a little over 2 yrs). The others, bought new, are all still fine.

I would not touch a refurbished ssd. That's one thing I will never buy used is storage. I can't believe how cheap flash. Looks at his 128gb 830 pro..
