Newegg.com - Newegg Premier for Military

Just did this, and got verification back almost instantly. Used a copy of orders (whited out a few bits Newegg doesn't need to know like SSN). You do have to provide a credit card to sign up for premier, despite being free. My guess is that it auto-renews. Hopefully you can turn that off.

EDIT: You may have to turn off adblock (or similar) for the form to appear.

Looks like you can just cancel prior to the renewal:

*If you do not wish to renew your membership, you can choose "Cancel Membership" before the renewal fee is charged to Your Account and your credit card won't be charged for the next year. You can always request a refund of the membership renewal fee if your benefits have not been used during the term of your membership.

I don't think they are picky, anything that verifies you were prior service should do. I signed up with a scan of final ETS orders. DD-214 should work just fine.
 
noticed this recently when i ordered some ram. hooah

honestly if you order enough stuff, premier is worth renewing. couple buddies paid full price for the service & theyre quite happy with it...& shit, this is free to start with!
 
How do you guys do it? When I try to do it, the area that you are supposed to fill in does not display no matter what browser I use.
 
Hey, Devildog! Thanks for your service! No such thing as "just". I liked being a Sergeant so much that I did it twice.
Had almost a year in grade when I got out the first time, went back years later as the senior LCpl in the Corps,
made it back to Sgt in two years. Viet-Nam Era and Desert Storm Era Vet. It was a wonderful ride and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Hahaha, just tried to upload pictures from facebook and a random military document that had my name on it since it was the only things available on my phone. Did not work lol. Guess I will submit my ERB or something.

You at Stewart or Benning? I was in 3rd BDE on Benning for a couple years (well, while I wasn't deployed for 15 months of it, hah).

Much earlier then when we had to go to the "Sand Box" the first time ... I was in the 3rd ID from 1982 - 1984 3rd/67 ADA in Kitzingen West Germany ... when the "Wall" was still up.

Still appears to work for me. The form still shows up, anyway. For some reason, it did take 5-10 seconds for the form to load (it should pop up right under the picture with the flag). Give it a few seconds, and if it doesn't show up, try another browser?

Calm down... how am I supposed to know what "link" you are looking for?

There is no other link. The one above takes you to the sign up page. As others in the thread have pointed out, sometimes it takes a few seconds for the form to appear, and you may need to turn off stuff like adblock.

I was just a Corporal when I got out in 84 after 4 years, could re upped and gotten Sergeant, had been up for meritorious Sergeant just prior to that.

Almost wish I'd stayed in, would have been retired before now.

Might have to look into the Egg deal, I used to buy a lot there and haven't in awhile.

Ah, ERB did the trick. Newegg is coming back with some nice SHELL SHOCK deals. Seems like they are in direct competition with Amazon now. I know newegg just recently had some good NAS deals.

Used my DD-214 but redacted my Social Security number using Acrobat Pro and got almost an immediate approval.
 
Very cool been thinking about getting it but really didn't want to spend the money.
Nice when my service is actually useful I am even a disabled Vet maybe they will give me a discount on my next build lol.

Think this may not be for a year guys or they changed it which sucks a year would have been nice.
 
I used my DD-214 when this first appeared on Newegg. So far Premium has worked great for what little I ordered. Looking forward to using it for the rest of the year.

I checked my membership after reading this post and sure enough it was only for 30 days. Not sure where the mix up was but I checked my email, found the 1 year military promo code and input the code into "extend membership" under my account and it updated just fine after 20 minutes. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Well just figured out the 30 day thing if you look at the premier account page it says you will be charged 0.00$ in 30 days on your credit card after your 30 day trial.
Looked at it today and it made more sense its just a 30 day trial then goes to a year after that and you get charged $0 so it is a free year the wording just had my tired mind confused.
I called up their tech support and verified it too they say you will get an email when the 30 days is up saying your credit card has been charged but it will charge it nothing.

So cool deal just had me a little confused on the way they set it up.
