The Division - officially announced for PC!

let's see those gear scores

I only managed a 178, which surprised me. But I only carry the gear I'm wearing, rather then having gear for 3 playstyles on me at all times like some of my friends do. As I understand it, it calculates according to your whole inventory. I may be wrong.

Just popped on before work to get the update in, haven't left the BoO yet. Eager to get home from work!

yeah i'm curious where i'll be at when i log on tonight. i think i'm relatively 'middle of the pack' when it comes to gear which i'm guessing will put me around 160ish (?), suppose i'll find out tonight.

Eager to get home from work!

you and me both! only about 12 more hours for me...

Gold is the new purple.

Gear set is the new gold.

Minor correction. He sells the Black Market AK 74. Which does not have as high of damage potential as the AK47, but is much more stable and accurate. More shots on target = more damage imo.

Crap, you're right. I could have sworn I bough the plans there, guess I'm wrong. The BM AK47 is one of the best AR's in the game, imo. I got lucky with my roll and got useful perks with just 20 something points under the print's max damage.

I snuck home at lunch so I could check out my gear score and do a few quick runs through the DZ. I love seeing gold drop every time I kill a named boss, and the assignments are very lucrative. Imo, it really spiced up the DZ because the loot is much richer. My gear score is 171, but all of my gear is 182 except for my sidearm and my purple M1A so that's probably lowering it.

Just to give an example of the current assignments,

Dailies
Crafting - craft 3 standard or higher weapon parts into a higher quality - 1 division tech
DZ - Eliminate 10 LMB in the DZ for 7500 DZ XP
Combat - Bring 3 elite enemies to justice 10 phoenix cr (I accomplished this one, and I've only done a quick DZ run. Didn't kill any npc outside the DZ.

Weekly Strategic Assignment - bring 50 cleaners to justice in the DZ + deconstruct 30 standard items (I decon'd 8 outside the DZ) + eliminate 40 veteran (purple) enemies + complete 10 main missions on hard or challenging = 30 phoenix cr.

The new gear sets seem to be GS 214, and you can buy mask and knee pad prints at the upstairs vendor for 391 ph cr. You can get the Navy MP-5N print and the custom m44 print there too now, as I recall they were sold in the DZ pre patch. Correct me if i'm wrong.

All sounds awesome. I'm excited to play.

Well, no surprises here, my gear score is a comically low 152. Guess I'll be farming the crap out of hard and challenge modes to get that up to a respectable level.

With all the new HE drops you'll be there in no time. Don't sweat it, enjoy your game.

Sounds like there is a First Wave M1A blueprint at the DZ03 Vendor for level 75 and over players. I know where my first visit is going to be. I have one from a mission drop already, but the talents are so-so. I should probably focus on gear sets, but M1A Po0Oorn!!!

I believe you're right. I crafted one about a week ago and it is every bit of the beast people claimed it to be. I was fortunate to get a good roll with Deadly and Brutal after 3 tries however. It does burn through ammo fast.

Curious what the new beasts are going to be now. I'm sure REDDIT will be lit up with all kinds of things, legal and not, in no time.

Blueprints which were moved from the DZ to the BoO (such as MP5, ACR and AUG) no longer require division tech.

I popped on for about fifteen minutes. Grabbed a handful of yellows from lower DZ bosses. Then killed a group of 3 at an extraction and took theirs as well.

I think my gear score was 166. I love that I'm able to actually take on other people now with the gear score deal.

Popped into BoO to visit special gear vendor. Saw new prices and said "fuck this".

Probably back to Destiny for this guy.

I've been getting a lot of disconnects today aka the "delta" error.

I was almost finished with a mission and the delta error pops up.

If I remember correctly, you're in law enforcement. You could always serve in the DZPD.......https://www.reddit.com/r/DZPD

Sounds fun but I could barely gear up before, and good gear for sale is completely out of my reach (and the reach of anyone else I play with) now. The dark zone at night during the week is a murder-fest, full of 4-packs of rogues that my 87k DPS can't even put a dent in. And like someone above me said, they're not even killing me to take my shit, I'm being killed while I'm out looking for shit and have nothing in my DZ inventory. It's so bad now I can't even run loops killing AI to level up my DZ level; I fact I backslid from 25 to 23 on Sunday night before I learned my lesson and started watching Netflix.

The new gear score DZ system sounds fine, as long as I stay at 160. Otherwise it's gonna be more of the same once I go past 160 gear score.

Wow, came back home today and fired up game, and now I fall through the world so often its not even fun playing. The consulate is the worst so far. I verified game cache, uninstalled, re-downloaded and still the same. My son does not have the problem at all in the same spots. /sigh

I fell through the world. Has anyone had success on that new mission? Tried it with a group. The farthest we got was to the 4th wave of 15. Although it is "hard" the enemies are challenge mode strong and they never let up. No ammo except what they drop. Death restarts it from the beginning. Doing it.... would probably take hours to get the group to work together well. Was not ready for that type of commitment.

They're patching the Lexington mission, where Barrett would drop 4 High Ends instead of 1. I managed to get in a few runs, and was almost at her again when the server disconnected.

That might be helpful. I haven't played the incursion yet, just passing this along.

Well, the incursion was kind of... lackluster. Like what the fuck one room... you can do it in a half hour. My expectation was that this would be a cool introduction to the raid / incursion / whatever... not the fucking mission itself in its entirety. It's not very difficult once you get it worked out, which you should basically have it down to a near science after a couple wipes.

I want to see an expanded group raid where you and another group team up. Maybe a section where you both have to split but rely on the others carrying out their task. Even something more grandiose where you can just work through it over the course of the week.

No real getting around it, this mission is pretty basic. Shit doesn't have to be super complex and it was fun for what it was, but this is pretty far on one end of the spectrum...

My first thought is, "This game doesn't have a sub fee so you shouldn't expect much" but then I realize this game costs a flat $60 and doesn't even have $60 worth of content.

The comical thing is that when I played a ton of BF4 I used to say fuck unlocks, just give us the game with everything unlocked and let us play the damn game without grinding. Now I'm playing the division and I have to grind for credits to even get the fucking plans for the gear, then I have to spend 10 hours in the DZ grinding like a brake pad in order to obtain gold division tech from crates which only re-spawn every 2 hours, which everyone is actively scavenging, and there are only 45 dt crates in a DZ instance.

Some people just don't have hundreds of hours to fuck around crafting or unlocking, and they'd rather just spend that time actually playing the game with whatever gear they chose in a game they paid for.

I have put a ton of hours into the game. At my cost, $46, it is about a quarter per hour of entertainment. Yeah, it is flawed in many ways but it is also misleading to say it lacks content.

I give up on the falcon mission u just get loading screens once u join a fking team been trying now for 2 hours its just not funny amore, if thats not enough the mission is just crazy if not impossible to complete with randoms.. they recommend 140 min but i got ass kicked on a group all above 160 and still failed.. how the hell were they thinking ????

So, got in the two dailies before the downtime, then the two afterwards. Gearscore up to 164, got 2 so-so pieces that I could use and two useless mods for deconstruct.

They had a lot of cool areas that you can easily never see from the second you start all the way to you hitting level 30. You level so fast doing missions that the only time you'll ever venture into some of these parts of the maps is either random exploration or you're getting points for your base. The world is really well built and a ton of it just sits idle.

The missions are all pretty good, though bosses are kind of underwhelming considering you can literally just stun lock them full to dead in almost every case. Fire bullets -> shoot boss -> the entire fight is them flailing. Even on challenging you can do this.

They do a lot right but strangely fall short at the finish line - and this is a pattern. I don't really get how they design these missions and then just end on the boss and a couple cronies walking out a door and... that's it. There's nothing interesting after that. There's no fight gimmick or mechanics to try and spice it up.

I liked having 2 people near the back, 1 up on the right side near top of the stairs, and 1 person a little further up yet. The tank will always shoot at the closest person so the people in the back get a ton of breathing room.

I haven't tried Falcon Lost yet, but I did get a Supply Drop in the DZ... or at least I thought I did. DZ04, I got to it first, cleared most the mob but the fight pulled in a street mob and I was running solo. So I tanked it to the crate and captured it before anyone else showed up. Got some credits, divtech and misc, but no gear. I finished off the mob as 2 other players showed up and ran off to get ammo... only to discover there must be an additional step. The game kept running the timer and telling me time was running out, so I doubled back but then ISAC said someone else claimed it. I was like "wth, I thought I'd already claimed it?" So evidently you have to hang around and pick up loot that pops out later. They said whoever claims it first gets it, but evidently not. You claim it, wait for it to pop or something, and then have to fight whoever for whatever comes out. Annoying, and counter to what Massive said.

it wasn't a particularly successful night last night. i did the incursion with a random group for about 2 hours. i'm at gear score 172 and the other 3 all around that +/-. We got to the final wave three times and were down to a handful of guys twice (we had the bomb in hand) but we just didn't have that last push to make it happen. it was frustrating but i have to say i'm happy they added content that's challenging (for some of us anyway). I think i'm going to have to improve some of my HE gear for the sake of completing Falcon Lost. i was hoping not to spend any resources on my current gear and just replace it with set gear, but it looks like i have to pay the piper.

i did complete the two daily hard missions, a handful of lexington/tunnel challenge missions, and two of the daily assignments. I also crafted three Navy MP5's and got a decent roll.

Now I can't talk in game using my mic on my Logitech G933 headset....the game crashes whenever I talk. I'm running the latest Logitech gaming software with "control lighting" disabled. Also using a Logitech g910 keyboard and g502 proteus mouse.

I can play without talki for hours, but once I use the mic at all to talk to people either in game or on team speak the game crashes to desktop. So weird.....

There can be multiple drops. They're orange (I think) chests that take like 8 seconds to open and have a bit of a guard force who are total pushovers.

I'm not sure how some people get hung up on them for several minutes. I found a couple last night where people were just fighting and fighting and I had time to run like almost a kilometer to it... what is taking so long? It took me and 1 other person maybe 15-20 seconds to clear all the enemies, then butchered the players for good measure.

All their drops have been horse shit for me, all purples.
