My gear kinda sucks atm so I don't do a whole lot DPS. lvl 30/37 DZ.

Only major complaints sofar are. After that update last week my loading times are really bad. Second either because of long loading times or that new exploit I get kicked a lot when matchmaking.
According to the steam FPS monitor I've never dipped below 50 fps. I don't have the game on an ssd so I don't know if that will make a difference.

Is there a TS, Mumble, Discord, Vent server folks are using?

I have a 40 man TS3 that I can offer up out of Dallas.

I think the game is broken in some ways for certain rigs. My son and I have a very similar setup, except he has a 60 GB SSD that uses the Z68 cache thingy with a 1 TB Raptor for his main system. I have to say, it is annoying listening to the constant hard drive grinding while he plays. There should be no reason for it. The game gets the memory up to around 7 GB used out of 16 GB available, but still constantly thrashes his disk drive all the time, even when standing still in a safe house. My system does not do this at all with or without the new SSD I have recently installed. We formatted and reinstalled his box a few days ago and it did not help, actually probably made it worse. So either the game isn't caching correctly, isn't using memory correctly or something else on his system. I am going to replace that SSD cache thing on his box when I get back from a work trip in a few weeks....

Had a good night in the DZ. In the hour and a half I played I got a high end scope and a Midas.

I ran the challenge mode missions about 5 times. the first time you get 50 Phoenix coins, the second and so forth you only get 30 but still that's pretty good. A bit easier in some ways than farming bosses unless you do a hack. You also get a piece of gold gear so I'm fully decked-out after purchasing a couple blueprints. It's like a tank walking. even unoptimized it's still awesome.

Nice work jim!

Last night I solo'd in the DZ, didn't have much time to play. A guy was going around killing players at extraction points, a high level DZ player. I think he was in the mid 60's. He killed me 4 times, then had Manhunt status put on him. At that point I guess everyone else in the DZ saw it and all of these players were coming out of the woodwork hunting him down! It was so damn intense. He fled into the subway and it eventually took 5 or 6 of us to take him down. I have no idea what the hell he had as far as perks go, but he was instantly healing himself and killing us with a Vector pretty fast.

I'd be down for this, might make it easier to coordinate group runs without just dropping into each other's games out of the blue. I know there's a few of us who aren't quite to endgame yet that might have more fun running at the same level and not seem like we're being carried. :)

Was int he DZ last night, teamed up with Jiminator and Shandy247. Took out some bosses and had a good time apart from getting killed at extraction twice (robbing bastards) :). Really enjoying the game though

Just topped off @ 100k kills.

The Division Tracker - The Division Stats, Leaderboards, & More!

Gonna spend some time to see if I can fix my character, otherwise I'm out to play Fallout 4 Survival Mode.

edit: Wow I bought a bunch of guns on my alt, put them into my stash, and now I can't even login to my main anymore. I'll have to log back into my alt, and remove the guns from the stash before I can even get back into the game! Such a strange bug.

I think I fried my brain playing too long today :-|

Got my dps up to 160k though.

That Russian Consulate Challenge mission was pure insanity last night. I needed to go to sleep, but no way was I not going to finish that with you guys. No real great loot came from Hornet, I'd rather have the Phoenix credits more than anything. Also the DZ was fun running with you guys as well.

I need to get in on some of this action -- my wacky work schedule doesn't help (i work 11pm to 7am) weekends are usually free though when Im not out playing poker and then playing poke her.

Good seeing you briefly yesterday. What's your HP at? I need to find better gear and/or more crafting mats I think. I always seem to trade HP for DPS. I'm 160k DPS but 45k HP.

I'm slowly but surely working my way up to rank 30 in the DZ. As of this morning I was at 18 and getting some so-so superior drops. I'm purple across the board, just not all level 30 equipment yet.

I gotta join in with you guys - I ran some solo last night (mainly because wifey was talking to me while playing so I didn't have my headset on) and had a weird bug: the entire East side encounters reappeared, I even triggered one for XP. Got freaked out by that and quit LOL.

I had something similar happen too. I was just randomly cruising the DZ and all the sudden some yellow rioter mobs just spawned right in front of me. Thankfully they took a second to respond, so I had an opportunity to duck and cover. Got a named mob out of it though and a few purple upgrades.

After reading all of the opinions and stories from all you ya'll, I bought the game. Should start it up this evening after work.

Yeah I don't think I've had this much fun playing a game in a long time. It's fun just trying to get better gear to do some of the more challenging missions. And the Dark Zone is a whole nother level.

There's still a lot I haven't learned yet. Our team leader last night gave us a bunch of tips. Ask away, we will help as best we can.

I must be a weirdo because I still have almost zero interest in this game.

If the game was like $10 I'd probably get it just for the hell of it, but that's about it.

LFG Hornet farm tonight!! 1mil DPS.

How I'm going to miss those messages in global chat.
It's pretty sad, boss farming and group exploits probably kept a lot of people playing (me included).
They need to focus on replacing these 'fun' exploits with other fun ways to acquire mats and gear.

They should just change the patch notes to say "You know that stuff you enjoy doing? We're removing it." Game will be dead before the Incursion DLC even comes out.

You even see that? All I normally see are a bunch of Asian characters, or mistyped / commands. :D

its an interesting game with a beautifully crafted world. There are some flaws with the late endgame dynamics but mostly it works well.
As for your comment, it is somewhat meaningless, I am sure there are thousands of games you have zero interest in, but do not bother posting in their threads to say that.

they did not mention police academy :)

I'm gonna be honest here, after putting in 50 hours since launch I haven't touched the game for the past 3 days.

I've actually been working on the new season in Diablo 3. This is what Division needs, some type of organized season eventually.

I have no doubts I'll probably fire Division up once or twice a week to run a daily or two, but otherwise there's just no sense of progression for me.

Just FYI, talking about the incursion update a bit on their stream:

Twitch

there's never really been a game i've been amped up enough about to sit down and watch a live feed on. i tried to watch this one though. unfortunately i'm busy as shit at work and only saw about 2 minutes of it. any way to re-watch these? i'm twitch ignorant.

reading some recaps from users on other forums it looks like some great stuff coming. it's really cool that this is a free update and not tied to a DLC or the season pass. i'm really liking this developer.

Yeah, you can just go to the twitch channel and find the link for past broadcasts. There will be a short, bullet point list today or tomorrow (if not already done) of the important stuff from the stream though if you just want to wait. There was a lot of specifics they weren't ready to tell people anyway so it was so/so and mostly just interesting seeing the gear set names and the general jist of those along with one of the new incursion rooms.

Watched the Live Stream today and picked up a lot of new info on the April Expansion. Here are the highlights:

Incursions DLC release date is 4-12-16, less then 2 weeks. This will update the game to version 1.1

*EDIT*: Made a few of corrections / additions below.

Features

  • Incursions - Larger Missions with higher difficulty (only 1 to begin with). Can be done weekly (or 4 times a week if you have 4 level 30 characters) for larger amounts of Phoenix Credits and Division Tech. Your first run for the week will net the highest rewards, reruns will award fewer amounts. Can be done on Hard or Challenging difficulty. Challenge mode will require a certain Gear Score and be "extremely difficult". Advised to have level 31 gear, a familiar squad with good communication and complimentary loadouts. It took their best players four 8hr days to beat it the first time, and then they made it harder based on what they learned. There will be no Checkpoints during an Incursion, if you all die you start over. Additional ways to kill a boss besides weapons and skills, possibly hinting at environmental traps, etc. NOTHING was said about 8 player raids.
  • Armor Sets - these were referred to "High End +" gear. They are sets of gear, that when combined offer a new "more powerful" Talent, but this "super" talent replaces each piece's individual talent. Pieces will be dropped by Bosses in Missions on Challenge mode, and in Incursions, but are a guaranteed drop from doing the Incursion on Challenge mode (possibly Hard also).
  • 4 Armor Sets total, 3 found in PvE area, 1 in Dark Zone. Not found all at once, but in pieces.
    • Sentry's Call = Marksmen focused
    • Strikers Battle Gear = Assault style focus
    • Tech Authority = Support (Tech / Med) focus
    • Path of Nomad = DZ only drop, no other info given (likely related to killing Rogues or going Rogue)
  • Assignments - Daily and Weekly Assignments will added to the game. These will be small to large side tasks you can do during Missions. Small tasks will be things like "kill 5 Rikers with a Shotgun", the larger "weekly" tasks will be more involved. They will reward Phoenix Credits and possibly Division Tech
  • Gear Score - Gear Score will replace "Item Level" for level 30+ players. This is to allow for level 31+ gear
  • Trading - within squad only. Drop item and a squadmate can pick it up for up to 2 hours after drop. If done in the DZ, must be done in Safe Houses only
  • Supply Drops - this will be a new mechanic added to the DZ. A Supply Drop will happen at random places in the DZ once an hour, reward "nice" weapons and/or gear, be guarded by mobs and only be lootable by the first Squad to find it.
  • New Named Weapons
  • New High End weapons and gear
  • Drones - A new piece of gear used by the LMB during Incursions. They did not specify if the player will be able to loot / craft these for their own use.
There was some concept art and very limited footage from a Dev run of the upcoming Incursion. Most of the Live Stream was an Interview with two of the head Developers. The stream is available to watch on their Twitch Channel.

thanks! i'll take a look at the broadcast later.

thanks for the summary Frraksurred, lots of good info. the Incursions on Challenging mode sound extremely difficult.

I for one am glad the (current) exploits are going away.

the >5 people exploits I agree with. The weapon crafting thing is a problem though. To craft high end equipment you need to convert some 30 items, generally only obtainable by killing bosses or DZ loot chests. And if it does not have the things you want, sorry, try again after another 15 bosses. Oh, lets add the blueprints - 60 bosses to buy one, but you maybe should get enough materials for 4 crafting attempts.

The best parts of the game have to do with a steady sense of progression. But then at some point the progression just stops and things just shift to grinding for materials and coins.

Now you certainly don't have to craft. But random gear you find will never be as good as what you have, and what you have will probably not have the setup you want.

EDIT:
My numbers are somewhat off. Deconstructing purples will give 2 blues, so crafting requirements will be half what I stated....

I played the beta. Is it worth it to play it now? I enjoyed the beta but it was a very empty feeling world.
